We went to Detroit for a weekend trip and had sometime beyond the Henry Ford. So we went to the DHS in the rain. All the people working there were super nice, offering information and assistance all the time. They even helped us loading the car, because it was raining hard and we had a small baby to deal with. It's a place where you can learn a lot about the history of Detroit and America as a whole. The model train set there was wonderful. Don't miss that.
There's an elevator to get to all floors, so we didn't have any problem with our stroller.
In the gift shop, there's Faygo soda pop for sale, a tradition for Detroit. We bought the Orange flavor one, because it was the only one that's solely Naturally flavored.
Make sure you give donation to the museum so it can keep open. There's no admission here.
