We visited Andiamo for lunch after my nephew's swear in as a lawyer in the Michigan Bar Association. The place has a great view of the Canadian shoreline and the Detroit River. The food was good we the six of us tried different dishes. My calamari antipasto was great and the ammoglio sauce (although not authentic ) was OK. My veggie panino was good with tasty egg plant. The white fish sicilian style tha my brother had was good and so was the clam chowder. The salmon burger my wife had was OK but not great, she felt that a restaurant of this caliber would have a better choice. Overall the meals were average but not great, obviously we overpaid for the location. It is worth a try for the ambiance but do not feel the quality of italian food is there.

We booked a table for 8 to celebrate my son's graduation. The resturaunt was almost empty, as we were eating at an "off" time, prior to the 6 pm commencement at the Detroit Opera House. It was raining and we were not able to spend time outdoors as we had planned. We had a wonderful view of the river front, with ships sailing down the river. The food was excellent with a very wide variety of selections, huge portions, and good service. My husband needs Gluten Free and Dairy Free due to allergy, and they did accomodate his special diet very well. We had a very nice 3 hour lunch, peaceful, quiet and wonderful time. Highly recommend location, as where else else do you see the waterfront like this? Thought it was so much better than the other higher end resturaunts in Detroit (Opus One, Rattlesnake club, Whitney).

Andiamo's is a very nice "higher end" restaurant located in the RenCen (AKA known as the headquarters of General Motors). As I work in the RenCen, though not for GM, several of us like to go out after work one or two days a week for a quick adult beverage prior to heading home. There are a couple of restaurants in the building that are higher end but one day we decided to try Andiamo's and haven't looked back since.

The Happy Hour at Andiamo's is awesome. From 3:00-6:00 PM, adult beverages such as wine are 1/2 price. The appetizers are fabulous and reasonably priced. We order the spinach and artichoke dip along with the portobello mushroom with zip sauce and dinner is done! The bartenders are friendly and efficient. We rarely have to ask for our drinks as they know exactly what we want. We like to refer to the bartenders as our "therapists".

The restaurant has an outdoor dining area that looks over the Detroit River toward Windsor, Ontario. Great spot to hang out during the summer when the weather is good and watch the freighters and pleasure boats cruise up and down the river. When the weather isn't good for outdoor relaxation, you can always sit inside and look at the same view through the large wall of windows.

Andiamo's also provides a carry-out option for dinner and we have purchased several meals there to bring home for our husbands. Make sure and try the Tuxedo Cake....it's awesome!

If you are in the area and are looking for a great place to dine that actually has a view AND good food and drinks, try Andiamo's. You won't be disappointed.

The food was very good, but not as good as Joe Muer's next door. We had the best waitstaff person - Corrine - that I have had in a long time and that made for an excellent dinner experience. She made great recommendations and was very attentive without being overbearing.
