See Americana - enjoy the various demonstrations of cars, rail cars, engines, furniture of the 20's, study how people lived thru the depression - see the Kennedy car he was shot in, etc.

“One of the best attractions I have ever visited!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 12, 2012 via mobile

Please visit this museum and village, quite simply it is stunning! I'm not remotely interested in cars but I spent two full days in this attraction and I would have gone back for a third if we had had time.
The museum is cold though, the air conditioning is very over zealous so don't wear flip flops and shorts! Take some warm clothing or by the end of the day you will be blue.
The village was amazing, so interesting with live showings of weaving, glass blowing and printing, the staff are courteous and very knowledgable.
It has something for all ages and I especially liked the actors who work in the houses all day cooking and cleaning as it would have happened back in the day.
I can't enthuse enough about this place, well worth every penny......I'll be back!

“Best of America”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 11, 2012

The Henry Ford Museum is one of my most favorite places to see vintage Americana, especially automotive, railroad and mechanical. An awesome display of old dynamos, steam, electric and various other powered engines and power plants. The amount of train related items from the smallest models to the largest locomotives is astonishing. A wide variety of autos and various powered vehicles from the past 150 years is first rate, not just Fords either. A great place for younger school age kids, it's like a walking history lesson. Make sure you have good waking shoes on, you will be doing a lot of it. A very good value for the ticket price.

“Something for everyone”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 11, 2012

This museum is worth at least a few days--we only had two to see all, plus Greenfield Village. It was not enough. We want to go back to see all the airplanes and electric generating equipment that we missed. Only saw the autos, trains, buses and more. My feet hurt!

“So much to see!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 11, 2012

An amazing assortment of Americana. Of course, it is quite a celebration of transportation, but it also had displays of kitchens, furniture, civil rights memorabilia, and space travel. It is a little confusing so allow at least a full day to really view it all.
