Our whole family enjoyed the visit to the museum. There was a lot to see: Ford cars, Presidential cars, Lincoln's chair, Rosa Parks bus, etc. My children really loved seeing all the historical items at the museum. We went through in about 3 hours, but one could easily spend more time there.

The Henry Ford museum is an excellent place to visit. Beautiful displays with alot of information - however like other reviews one major section was closed so I would recommend to wait for it's opening but all in all worth every penny to visit!

The Henry Ford Museum is a terrific resource. The cars, the trains, the special exhibits -- currently Civil War -- are wonderful. Also the small jewelry and clock sections. The antique autos include Presidential cars from T. Roosevelt through R. Reagan, and the Mustang prototype with the production model. The auto exhibit is currently being renovated, so not as easy to see all of them, but still fun. It turned out to be a free day, so our package vouchers for 2 out of 3 venues (Museum, Greenfield Village, Rouge Plant tour) were good for all 3. We have a year to use the plant tour tickets!

Excellent. We traveled with two adults and children ages 12, 13, 14, and 17 (boys and girls).

The kids were not bored and we all enjoyed the entire complex so much that we opted to stay over for a third day! The attention to detail is wonderful and the entire complex (including The Henry Ford museum) is just breathtaking.

The value is amazing. We were advised to purchase a $125 Membership (two adults, numerous children under 18) and it more than paid for itself if only for this trip. Even if you live out of state (as we do) and don't know if you'll be back, consider the Annual Membership for the savings/values. Once you've seen what they have to offer, and the "immersion experience" of factual and highly trained presenters in period correct costumes performing short but entertaining "dramas" - you may want to make a return trip. The ride pass is also well worth it. When else can you ride on a steam train, a Model T, and a horse drawn bus all in one trip?

My 12 year old daughter said it made her realize that history wasn't "just those funny old brown and gold (sepia) photos" but real people in real 3D taking real risks and making a real difference. The staff is entertaining but not "cheesy" and if you make time for nothing more than "How I got Over" - it's well worth the trip.

I'm not usually a show-goer but get a map and make time to plan your day around some of the dramas offered at various points throughout the day. They are short but sweet and really round out the experience. Also make time for "playtime" on the Village green. My kids couldn't get enough of the old-time pastimes. It was great to see 21st Century Video kids attempt to outsmart 19th century "pinball."
