Great weekend getaway. Fantastic day by the pool relaxing on our day bed with great service. Enjoyed a few hours of pure relaxation with some Spa Treatments then had cocktails, diner and a little flutter :-)
Room was very spacious. Choice of things to do - huge. Breakfast fir for a King - ahhhhh can't wait to get back!

When arriving in this hotel, I thought it may be one of this giant hotel you can find everywhere else. Wrong feeling! The reception welcomes you with charm, the room are really nice and they accommodate your last minute request without argue. My sole concern was the noise in the lobby as I needed to discuss with some business partners. Don't miss the restaurant there, the 2 I tried are exceptional, Rockpool and Nobu.

Attended the Australian Funeral Directors Association Convention at the Crown Metropol during March 2013. I couldn't fault the rooms or service, it was wonderful. We were there however, during renovations which were quite loud at times. The staff did warn us on arrival, however the jack hammering during the day did become quite annoying. I am sure now though the Hotel is looking amazing !!

The rooms are very nicely fitted out but the cleanliness which I did read in many reviews had a lot to be desired as well as the customer service.

The views, the pool (great pool but annoying that the poolside food/bar is only open on weekends) and the selection of an abundance of restaurants and eating places makes this a good place to stay and like I said the rooms despite the cleanliness are very nice, spacious and comfortable.

The staff are very impersonal. I have stayed at Crown in Melbourne and now Crown Metropol in Perth and I got the exact same impression at both venues. Staff are not friendly and you are not greeted with a warm welcome like you are at other establishments of the same star rating. Good service costs them nothing so if this area was improved as well as the cleanliness I would say this would be the pick of stays in Perth.

20 minutes to check in was a bit annoying and it took over 2 hours to get our bag delivered to our room even after we called and asked for it. I also requested a bottle of champagne to be waiting in our room which wasn't there so a bit of a disappointing arrival on a special occasion.
3 hours later a complimentary bottle of wine arrived with a card saying happy anniversary so that was nice.
The rooms are beautiful and the room service was very quick and the food really great!!!

We stayed over the Easter period ,and were very impressed, it was like Vegas without the theme. Loved the resort style pool, the selection of brilliant restaurants and the staff were on the ball. The activities where endless from golf, gambling, nightclubbing to a show at the convention centre next door.

Having been disappointed the last time I visited this hotel I gave it another shot and I'm glad I did. The room was very good as is the pool area and breakfast. Like Crown in Melbourne though some rooms are smoking so if you're a non-smoker you'll need to insist on a non-smoking room. Like all hotels in Perth the Metropol is expensive. Check-in and out is efficient.

Room Tip: Insist on a non-smoking room
