We choose to eat on the porch, and therefore had to order off the less expensive "pub and porch menu". The food was average. Burger, salad, shrimp basket all run of the mill. The French onion soup used Italian flavored croutons which ruined the flavor of the soup. The chicken fingers from the kids menu were the best thin on our table- they were excellent. View of the lake was good.

We had a table for four right at the windows, looking out at the water. The atmosphere of the restaurant is charming, and the food and service very good.

Our group of 36 women with Trailbound Trips absolutely loved Chamberlin's! Kelly catered a meal to our hotel on Thursday evening; then on Saturday, our group ate at the Inn. The food and service were phenomenal, and the ambience at the Inn was magical. What a treasure Chamberlin's is! Carol R.

The bed and breakfast was clean and very comfortable. We found the staff were both friendly and helpful. One of the best features of this bed and breakfast was the food. A complete breakfast was served each morning and the dinners at the restaurant in the Inn were very good. We would recommend the Inn to anyone traveling in the UP.

I have eaten here 3 times on 2 different trips to the UP. It is a quaint Bed & Breakfast with the restaurant. They have seating on the veranda with view of the lake and inside with a 10 foot stone fireplace. I have eaten the white fish on a plank that was fabulous, and shrimp and coconut shrimp that are large, sweet, and tender. I also had the brie appetizer which was excellent. I had the clam chowder-delicious! Overall I love this restaurant. The owners have the history of the place printed out to read if you ask. It is very interesting as they moved this entire huge building rolling it on logs with horses pulling it. The owners allowed us upstairs to see the charming bedrooms that are decorated in turn of the century decor. A must stop if you are in the Newberry/Curtis/ Upper Peninsula area.
