Did like our stay and will return here if we are in the area. Stayed there while attending a professional conference at Suburban Collection Showplace, Novi which was about 9 miles drive from the hotel. The location was good but to keep in mind that one would invariably need to have a car though. Satisfactorily clean room, linens, towels and bathroom. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. While did not need to use it during my stay, there is however a "Quick mart" for snaps in the lobby area which was quite useful at odd hours to much on.., The room was also equipped with a small kitchenette and was well stocked up with utensils one would need if he/she chooses to cook while staying. Iron, microwave oven and refrigerator in room. All were pretty clean.. Certainly a plus. Breakfast was not extraordinary unlike most Embassy Suits, but decent enough and do not have any complain against what was offered though. Close to roads, but room was quiet. it was pretty much spot on as advertised. Pleasant stay overall. Thank you TownePlace Suits by Marriott in Commerce, MI.
Among all the positive experience, one minor downside I would like to mention though. Although quite usual for the Marriott class chain hotels to charge/hold incidental fees at check-in, there was however nowhere I was prompted while booking through booking.com that my booking would be subject to that. I would have appreciated if the check-in staff at the reception desk would have mentioned it prior to going to charge me the incidental fees (~ $ 42) while checking us in. It's usually customary that the check-in staff would would mention it, here they didn't.. May be not a major issue but some clarity would have been more appreciated.
Would I stay here if I am back in the region? YES, Absolutely :)
