I reserved TownePlace Suites Detroit Commerce from 29th Dec to January 1st, 2017 with Studio two Queen beds by Marriott website. The time when I booked, I chose 2 queen beds because of my two children. However, When we arrived at this hotel (BTW, there is no clear front reception door in this hotel), the counter manager Katarina gave room409 at the first time. When we went in front of this room with 4 big bags with two children, we couldn't enter this room because the card key was NOT working. I went down and she merely told me that this room is out of order (no sorry at all). She gave me different room (room220) without considering that my family and bags are at 4th floor. She simply said "Use Elevator". When we finally went to Room220, we realized that this is one queen bed with sofa bed. I called to front desk and inquired. Finally, she said that there is no two queen available. I am very upset because we specifically picked this hotel because of two queen beds. We were not informed at all about this change without notification, also, she didn't tell us anything when we checked in. We had to move two rooms with many bags and tired children. We couldn't accept this situation and we had to leave this hotel at late night. No sorry, No explanation, very unprofessional. As a long time Marriott customer, I am very disappointed in this happening.
