Best sushi in town! Have eaten their sushi many times always felt great afterwards too! They pre-make many selections just before they open that you can walk in and grab!

This is the real stuff! A very small Japanese grocery store, Noble Fish is totally unimpressive from the street. At the rear of the store there is are several genuine Japanese sushi preparers who are kept extremely busy by a huge number of loyal customers. All sushi is made fresh daily. Believe it or not, customers come from all over the state. Prices are extremely good and the selection of quality sushi will keep you coming back again and again. Although there is limited seating, best bet is take-out.

If you love sushi on the go, but hate paying an arm and a leg for day old carry out, give Noble fish a try! This small Asian market specializes in fresh, quality, hand made throughout the day sushi. You can find a great variety of unique Asian important items as well as some really yummy sushi rolls, sashimi and other traditional sushi restaurant offerings made fresh and at a very reasonable price. There is actually (very) limited seating and you can have your favorites made to order and sit down for a quick lunch in storenifnyou want. but, the carry out is just as fresh and tasty and packaged up nicely in a variety of ways that allow you to build your own sushi meal any way you like for a very reasonable price! They have a bunch of traditional favorites, rolls, salads, sushi/sashimi combo packages as well as some unique house specials of their own ( try the Michigan roll!) I have been buying sushi from this little market for years and they have never disappointed. Trust me when I say you will never buy carryout sushi from anywhere else once you've tried Noble fish!

Noble Fish has a large local customer base, which often waits 30 minutes for their take-out orders. This high demand ensures that the sushi they prepare is fresh. But that's about the only adjective I can use to describe it. The Detroit area is not known as a mecca for Japanese dining, and Noble Fish satisfies your craving for sushi - up to a point. I didn't expect to find live Uni, such as that served at Sushi On the Rock in La Jolla, but I did expect to find quail eggs to complete the Uni and Ikura Nigri-Zushi.

I have dined for the last 28 years at Chef Daisuke Utagawa's Sushiko, in DC, which is rated among the top sushi bars in the US. Noble Fish is no Sushiko. Sadly, most of the enamored customers have never tasted top-flight sushi, and hence wrote highly overrated reviews.

Trust is critical with sushi and Noble Fish (and its sister in Novi) are the only places I trust for sushi in the metro Detroit area. I trust that the fish is fresh, properly handled, and correctly labeled. Outstanding! Even though I eat sushi only once or twice per month, you can taste the authenticity and freshness. Even the miso soup is better than other places. Sadly, no alcohol. Very small and an atmosphere that, well, you come here for the food.It is located at the back of a Japanese market.
Check the hours closely...they shut down some afternoons.
