Description: There is a doughnut shop and bakery in Clare, Michigan that has been in constant operation since 1896. This foundation business was within weeks of closing when the members of the Clare Police Department came to the rescue. All of them. That's right, all nine members of the local police department banded together to save this historic business.Dubbed "Cops and Doughnuts," the business boasts handmade confections of all types. Join us for a warm fresh doughnut and a steaming cup of Cops Coffee while you enjoy the police decor and friendly, and very safe, atmosphere. Come and see the new store in Clare that everyone is talking about.Since opening as Cops & Doughnuts our business has expanded in to other adjoining store fronts allowing us to ad the "Cop Shop" our apparel and souvenir shop. And the "Traffic Stop Diner" featuring many American Diner favorites.

Had donut for dessert is was really good but lunch was not good at all. Atmosphere left a little to be desired. Stick with baking and let the others that know how to run a restaurant do the rest. Really cool name and really liked the tshirt store

This is over hyped but still not a bad place to get a donut. didn't have time to shop the store or eat at their restaurant but it all seemed prety good.

customers were rude but staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Bread on our sandwich was alittle dry but otherwise a fine meal.

Liked the T shirt donut weren't really anything special. I have heard of this place from a friend and tried it anyway. They have a cool twist on police jargon but it was a little over done.

I learned if you eat to many donuts you feel bloated and fat and if you continue to eat them you look like the police that hang out at this wonderful bakery. When We were in there were local policeman and at least four law enforcement officers from around the state partaking of the delightful pastries. it really is owned by a bunch of flatfoots working out of the clare precinct. Some cute some old and fat. We will be back
