“Amazing Food and Even Better Price”
Reviewed July 13, 2013

We just had lunch at this restaurant on a lazy Saturday afternoon. We choose to sit outside on their patio, where a group of young adults were performing live music. The weather was idyllic and the music mesmerizing - just wonderful. Our server was efficient, friendly and very accommodating. The food was fantastic, fresh and delicious. I would highly recommend this spot for lunch.

“Go for Lunch Stay for the Pie!”
Reviewed June 18, 2013

This small restaurant is tucked behind the Herrick Giftworks, which is a nice little Nic-Nack store. The prices are good and the service is pleasant, the food is very good and prepared on site at time of order, no heat lamps here! Soup and sandwich is the normal fare with homemade soup and nice size sandwich, but it's the pie that will finish off the meal, I had the Peach Praline and others had the Pineapple Upsidedown Pie and the Rhurbarb Strawberry with homemade vanilla ice cream! We all split the sandwich (cost an extra $1) to save room for desert!!!! If your headed up North or headed home and are passing Clare, this is a nice place to stop and have a great bite to eat. Life is way to short not to enjoy some PIE! Cost for 2 $14.58 + tax and tip!

“Quaint and Tasty”
Reviewed January 4, 2013

We have dined at the Mulberry Cafe twice, once for breakfast in November and in the summer for lunch a year prior. The consistency of the homemade food is remarkable - The T & C Breakfast Skillet is a creative approach to breakfast as the foundation is a bowl of egg, hash browns and sausage smothered in sausage gravy topped with cheese! Their lunch options are a vast array of paninis with some salads and one burger menu item. The cafe is located in a turn of the century Victorian home which also houses a a gift shop in the front of the house. They are currently expanding their deck which will allow for more seating. We plan to meet people this weekend for lunch and highly recommend this quaint establishment for a great place to meet, share a meal and enjoy the surroundings.

“No matter what....get a piece of pie!”
Reviewed October 16, 2012

This was our 2nd time here after a suggestion by my mom who drives through Clare every wknd to get to Higgins Lk. Small but great menu. We have been there 2x for lunch but hear their breakfast is awesome. Had a panini the 1st time, chicken salad croissant this time. YUM! Split a piece of pie with my husband--strawberry rhubarb. Small place so plan to wait for a table during main meal times, unless it is warm out you can sit on the deck!
