“Quaint and Tasty”
Reviewed January 4, 2013

We have dined at the Mulberry Cafe twice, once for breakfast in November and in the summer for lunch a year prior. The consistency of the homemade food is remarkable - The T & C Breakfast Skillet is a creative approach to breakfast as the foundation is a bowl of egg, hash browns and sausage smothered in sausage gravy topped with cheese! Their lunch options are a vast array of paninis with some salads and one burger menu item. The cafe is located in a turn of the century Victorian home which also houses a a gift shop in the front of the house. They are currently expanding their deck which will allow for more seating. We plan to meet people this weekend for lunch and highly recommend this quaint establishment for a great place to meet, share a meal and enjoy the surroundings.

“No matter what....get a piece of pie!”
Reviewed October 16, 2012

This was our 2nd time here after a suggestion by my mom who drives through Clare every wknd to get to Higgins Lk. Small but great menu. We have been there 2x for lunch but hear their breakfast is awesome. Had a panini the 1st time, chicken salad croissant this time. YUM! Split a piece of pie with my husband--strawberry rhubarb. Small place so plan to wait for a table during main meal times, unless it is warm out you can sit on the deck!

“A Little Gem”
Reviewed September 20, 2012

Wonderful tasting food, great staff that is very attentive. They serve a limited menu with wonderful chioces for breckfast and lunch. Pies, scones and homemade bread are just a few of the treats. Fresh fruit is always available. Outside dinning is available in season. Love this place.

“Good Food - Fantastic Deserts!”
Reviewed August 29, 2012

Great cafe in Clare offering home made soup, sandwiches, AMAZING deserts. Plan to spend between $9 and $14 per person if you have soup, sandwich and desert. The paninis are very good, they could give you more chips on the plate or have smaller plates to make it look like more but all in all, a very nice experience. Pinapple Upside Down Pie was to die for as well as the various cobblers they make right in the restaurant. They don't have any pre-packaged deserts here! Turkey chili was amazing too!
