On our way to Houghton for a college visit to Michigan Tech and got stuck in an unexpected snow storm. We were starving and just happened to end up in front of Foggy's. "Any port in the storm", literally. What a nice surprise it ended up being.

We ordered the Filet Normandy and the Walleye Special of the day. Both came with soup, salad and a side of your choice and where fairly priced. Everything was delicious and served hot.

Service was great and the cook even came out at one point and asked if we enjoyed our meals. Sports bar atmosphere, comfortable with a couple of TV's playing basketball and hockey (to the enjoyment of my husband and son) and a pool table.

We enjoyed it and would return.

Foggys is a snowmobile bar that has a fun relaxed vibe and great food! My husband and I went there for dinner and we ordered the grill your own steak... Super fun concept! Choice of filet, new york, bourbon steak or ribeye. It was $22 flat for which ever steak you choose. This came with unlimited soup, a side salad, Texas toast and a side of mashed potatoes, baked potato or fries. The bartender was our server...As he had a full bar and many other tables he got to us no longer then a few seconds after we sat. He gave us prompt service throughout the time we were there.

Went here for a "nicer" style dinner. When we walked in it look like a local bar, but we were surprised at the large menu. Prices average for the area. My husband had the Bourbon Steak and Shrimp and I had a Filet called "Normandy" something? Both steaks were done exactly medium rare and were tender...very pleasantly surprised. My filet came on top of a heaping pile of horseradish mashed potatoes, which I loved. The meals also came with soup and salad which was nice. The salad was average with Paul Newman packet dressing but still good and the soup was Clam Chowder and quite tasty. Service was ok, bartender was tending bar and serving, so he was understandably busy but fairly prompt and pleasant. Not a lot of restaurants in this area, but I would choose this one over some
of the others.

Nice place, Nothing fancy. A typical bar/restaurant. The service was friendly. We got the beer battered cheese curds. Neither of us had ever had them and now we are hooked. We also go the pizza. It was pretty good.

A must stop in for a meal. Food is good and they have a nice beer selection. Steaks cooked on large grill inside.
