“Typical food but great staff”
Reviewed August 21, 2014

This restaurant is a blast from the past. It was worn and dated as far as decor but the staff were very friendly and helpful. We ordered a take out meal and it arrived hot and packed nicely. The food was so/so but what can you expect. They should really think about reducing the salt they use in the food though, it was so salty that my husband couldn't finish it. Their portion sizes were just right too, not huge. Overall it was a typical menu with nothing outstanding.

“Tired but trying hard”
Reviewed July 31, 2014

The Big Boy is just off the freeway and is easy to find. The parking lot is in need of repair and re-striping but is sound enough. The restaurant is pleasant inside with no major defects. Breakfast tends to be a gathering of retired folk who enjoy the value. Thus the entire place is themed for them from the 1950's music to the breakfast bar. There are a few problems. There is only 4 choices on the breakfast menu that are healthy. The rest is "Traditional" American food. The other problem is that the restaurant only has one phone line. This is evident when you try to pay with a card at the register and then you wait and you wait and you wait for the hidden office manager to hang up so the credit card machine can dial out. You won't spend much here and it's well cooked for the most part but don't imagine there is any sense of urgency either.
