We stayed at the Chelsea House this past weekend when we were attending a football game in Ann Arbor. The rooms were beautifully decorated and incredibly comfortable and of course the breakfasts were delightful. Jim and Kim were great hosts giving us directions to the best cider donuts I have ever eaten!
As others have mentioned we had a delicious dinner at the Common Grill (this was lobster week and the risotto was fabulous, but my husband couldn't get enough of the bread!) and then we attended the play at the Purple Rose Theatre (not really my style of play, but the playhouse was very nice and the house was full). After the game and dinner in Ann Arbor on Sat., we came back to Chelsea (about a 10-15 min drive) to Zou Zou's coffee shop where we really enjoyed the live music and ice cream.
I am glad we stayed in Chelsea and not Ann Arbor! It was great to go into town, but what made our weekend really special was to be able to get away from it all too!
