We've been staying with host Nancy two or three weekends each summer since 1983. Charlevoix is a great northern Michigan lake side artsy village with lots to do around the area. Restaurants are great. Golf, sail, or just hang out. We especially like Venetian Festival week in July. Art Fair weekend in August and Apple Fest in October. Windy Hill sits above the town north of the lift bridge. Charlevoix sits on Lake Michigan on the west edge of town and Lake Charlevoix on the east. Many old mansions owned by old money. Another one of Northern Michigan's gem stones. Bith lakes are a short walk to the beach from your room.

Nancy's house has 8 private rooms each with its own bath. A large living room with tv and a piano grace the downstairs. A huge wrap around porch compliments the historic house.

Breakfasts are legendary with great coffee and home made pastries, quiche, fresh fruit. Cherry surprise, sticky buns, blueberry muffins. Her French Toast is homemade all the way with fresh strawberries or maple syrup.

Many regulars make for an enjoyable time. Guests are friendly and sitting around the porch at night with Nancy's lemon slush or mulled hot cider in the fall is a perfect end to the day.

Going to Windy Hill is like coming home for the holidays.
