I don't normally provide reviews and in fact this review is written many months after our stay. But I still, on occasion, think back to the stay in Mas Temade. And not always with joy. Mas Temade is in need of some loving. Beautiful house in a beautiful setting. Lots of good sized bedrooms and well laid out living area and kitchen. The pool is huge (one of the reasons we plunged for this villa (pun intended)). Whilst at the property I contacted the owner (the local couple did not speak English) to let him know of some of the issues (especially the fridge, but got no response).
A couple of days work on the property would make all the difference. Here's some of the issues we found.
The owner lives in Belgium, so we had a contact number of a local couple who would let us in to the property. As planned we contacted them 30 minutes from arrival and got no reply; we left voice mail and text messages and got no response. We waited for a further 30 minutes on reaching the property and finally rang the owner. Eventually the couple arrived and let us in. They were adamant we hadn't contacted them (I still have the original text messages).
Access to car park.
Parking is through the gate and down a steep short gravel slope by the pool area. The gate has a humped concrete base. There were a large set of holes between the concrete base and the gravel track. As a result we bottomed both our cars as we progressed over the concrete and down the track. We had to in-fill to prevent from happening again.

Was filthy and all the utensils needed burning off and then cleaning up in hot soapy water.
The kitchen fridge.
It's a commercial fridge. It's huge. It's also very old and so noisy we had to turn it off in order to have a conversation in the kitchen. The children couldn't sleep in the room above the kitchen as a result of the noise.
On arrival we jumped in the pool, it was glorious. The children were in all day. A day or two later, we returned from a trip to read a note saying we couldn't use the pool for several hours until it had cleared. It was completely cloudy 2 days later. Now this may have been simply the shock cleaner, but why perform this maintenance mid week half way through a rental?
