This was my third trip here for the annual Prospector's Christmas dinner.
Every year is wonderful, but this year was a special night with blackened trout and
roasted vegetables. OUTSTANDING ! Too top off a great night of food and fellowship I won the 50/50 drawing. Love this place.

Heard about this from a local farmer and was pleased with the experience. It's out in the middle of nowhere, but convenient to Leland and Cedar, 20 minutes from our spot on Little Glen. Filled with locals, the menu features Mexican food which our kids enjoyed and a tasty perch and a whitefish that my wife and I liked a lot. They've got some locally brewed craft beers as well, which added to the experience. Not well advertised, it's worth the effort to find it.

A family member recommended this when I was visiting from TX. I enjoyed it even though it was a little bland relative to many choices in TX - kind of like On the Border. But the atmosphere was nice, the service was friendly and the portions were very generous. The wet burrito was too much food for a modest appetite, as were other meals. Good beer selection and a full bar.

My wife and I have been to this place a number of times since they reopened. The food will range from pretty fair to just passable. Our most recent visit was about a week ago. We arrived about a half hour after they opened (at 4pm). We apparently were the first customers of the day. The staff was outside the back door, smoking, with the door open (more on that later). We entered and seated ourselves and several minutes later (they must have finished their smoke) the waitress came in, gave us our menus and took our drink order. She is LOUD.... all of the time, no matter if the place is dead or full of customers. She came back with our drinks and took our order. By now, the FLIES that they let in by keeping the door open while they smoke outside had found us. We were in the mood for a couple of hamburgers. We usually don't get hamburgers here as there mexican food is usually fairly good. The hamburgers came after a fairly long wait (keep in mind we were still the only customers in the place) and what we got were run of the mill pre-made frozen hamburgers. Not bad.... but not good either. As we ate, more people came in, but that may be that the place is out in the middle of no where and has very little competition unless you drive in to Cedar. This truly an uninspired restaurant. The food is nothing to write home about. It could benefit from a manager that could whip the staff in to shape and maybe add an air of professionalism to the place. A menu update would also be in order. They can get fresh meat just miles away in town that would really add some real flavor to the menu. Another note. Some time ago, we got drawn in for a Prime Rib special they were having, I think for Valentine's Day. We arrived fairly early ....ordered the Prime Rib and were told that they sold out.... the prior evening. Why even run the special for a special day. Probably because this place is NOT SPECIAL! In fact, the poor rating is a gift.
