I have to say, first off, the I really enjoy Cracker Barrel. I'm from the south, and this chain feels like "home."
We had breakfast at the Cracker Barrel in Brighton. The service was excellent and the food was hot and delicious. My husband had a huge plate of country ham and eggs with grits. He was a very happy camper. I had biscuits and gravy. I find that biscuits and gravy are a really good indication of how good (or poor) an establishment is. I've had stale biscuits and gravy that would have made better glue. Not at this restaurant! Here the biscuits were right out of the oven and the gravy was just the right consistency with plenty of flavor.
We will definitely be back, and I am looking forward to trying more of their menu. (I'm also excited that they have some old, hard-to-find goodies in their "general store.")
