Only one other person at noon on a Sunday in shopping district should have been the 1st clue.

Hamburger $9 + $1 dollar per topping fries $2 extra. Burger was poorly prepared and over cooked. Very pressed most likely frozen. Served with iceburg lettuce pickles and tomato slice.
Chips were included, homemade and as hard as rocks. The place lacks conscious cleaning and the stale odor was similar to a college campus bar. Service was poor even with only 2 tables in the restaurant. Management was non existent, Didn't try the hotdog, also 8 - 10 dollars. (really?). Location must be the only thing keeping the establishment open.

The Pound Bar is Brighton's somewhat trendy new burger joint. It has a little buzz because it has rooftop seating in good weather. But it has the feel of a place that is poorly managed and I wouldn't be surprised if it closes for good when the buzz dies down.

I went there a couple of times in December and probably won't return. The service is bad. The servers are young and like to hang out with each other. One was whistling at an ear-splitting level even after a customer asked him to stop (it was unusually loud, like he was trying to hail a taxi or maybe stop a train, who knows). At one point, servers started collecting all the ketchup bottles from tables in some sort of unusual and urgent ritual. I guess they were told to fill them and didn't want to wait until customers had left.

Our waitress didn't know much about the food. We made a couple of substitutions - sweet-potato fries for chips and mixed vegetables - and were charged the full price of side dishes on top of their already-expensive prices. The food was thoroughly mediocre - greasy bar food that should be about 25% cheaper.

Even though the Pound is new, the chairs are already falling apart. We couldn't find any that didn't have an uncomfortable wobble. The interior is dirty. If the prices were reasonable, this could become a dive bar soon enough. As it is, especially with the absent management, it's probably just a couple of seasons and a health violation away from closing.

Stopped here for a pizza on Friday night.

The pizza was "gourmet style" (certainly not NY style), but was good, and a relatively good deal for a 16" pizza in the area (16" pizzas seem hard to come by nowadays).

We were there after "happy hour", but before the bar crowd. There was a mixture of bar goers, diners, and families, although the families tend to filter out as the night goes on.

The service was quick and friendly. We'll certainly be back, as I'd like to try their wings.......

The food is good and above average for bar food. The best thing to do here is to get a drink on the roof top and watch the sunset.

I have visited The Pound 6 times over the past couple months and have yet not been disappointed yet. The service could stand to be friendlier or more experienced/mature, but we've never had anything wrong with our meals or have had to wait an unusual amount of time for anything. Mixed crowd, although it becomes more of a bar scene after 9:30 or so when the DJ starts playing. Try the buffalo chicken macaroni & cheese... comfort food at its best! Yum. Their steak sub with provolone is also very good, the spicy feta bruschetta is out of this world, and my friend said their veggie pizza was the best she's had. Just a cool, fun place to hang out and grab a bite to eat.
