“Excellent”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 13, 2013

Snow conditions are always the best in northern Michigan. Long runs. A lot of fun.
Be prepared to get you cloths washed if you happen to wipe out. They use a huge man made pond to make all their snow. The pond really is disgusting bad water. Bacteria grows crazy all summer long.

Beautiful location...water park, skiing, rope course. Stores are wonderful. Like a retreat spot. Seems like a swiss location.

“Great Skiing!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 3, 2013

I understand that skiing is mostly weather dependent, but when we went, the weather was great. There was plenty of snow on the ground and it wasn't too cold, about 20 degrees.

The cost to ski from 9 to 4:30 is extremely reasonable, but we also have our own gear so we didn't need to spend extra cash on rentals.

There were plenty of runs to satisfy the four people we had in our group: one expert, one okay skier, and two beginners. We found the disciples 1 and 2 lifts to be quite slow, but otherwise the rest were pretty speedy.

During our visit a lot of the blue and black diamond runs were covered in ice and that made for very tricky skiing. When I attempted to go down a blue slope (Mr. Moll I think?) I found it to be trickier than a black diamond because it was sheer ice. So watch out for the ice.

Overall, a good ski trip. We aren't usually in the area but the next time we are, we're definitely coming back.

“theft!!! Alert Boyne Mountain - inside job!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 2, 2013

Had 2 coats stolen this weekend along with credit cards and personal ID. Security and management were LESS then helpful and took no interest in getting to the bottom of this inside job! We did make a police report, we should have checked the cars of the very rude security team at the Snowflake Lounge, this "security" person was the last person seen with the coats.
