“Beautiful view of Lake Charlevoix”
Reviewed October 18, 2013

This was my first stay at the Inn. We have been to Boyne City many times but have never stayed at the Inn. Mainly, because there are three of us and we like to get a 2-bedroom suite and Water Street only has 1 bedroom accommodations. On the positive side... Water Street Inn is within walking distance to great restaurants and shopping downtown. Would be excellent place for small family during the summer months since they have a great beach.

We take an annual trip for bike riding up to the Boyne area and stay at the Inn. It is always very clean and kept in excellent conditions. Since we usually are there in the off season in September with hardly any of the rooms filled, we think it is a bit pricey but the view from the room is wonderful. We also enjoy walking to the few restaurants in Boyne opened at that time of year. Boyne itself is a beautiful little town with lovey walking trails and cozy bookstore.

Room Tip: Third floor is best as you get both the living room and bedroom overlooking the water.

I traveled to Boyne City from Phoenix as part of a business trip. This was my second stay at your facility. The accommodations were great and the room was without any significant issues. The staff I worked with was very helpful and professional. I will be back next year!
There was only one minor issue. Since you do not any wake-up call service I have to rely on your alarm clock. Please be advised that I could not set the alarm clock time. Please check as this is an important item when I have to wake up at 6 AM. It could be operator error.
Great place to stay.

Since retiring south in 2004, our visits to family in the Boyne City, East Jordon, Petoskey area have been no longer than 10 days in duration with stays always at the home of family members. This year we decided to make it a longer visit and try the Water Street Inn as our home base. We thoroughly enjoyed this visit. Everyone there was so friendly and accommodating. I can't rave enough about the staff. Our little granddaughters loved being on the beach and we thoroughly enjoyed the sunsets from our patio. It was wonderful to be able to walk the streets of Boyne city with its many great restaurants (Red Mesa Grill a favorite) or grab an ice cream cone.
We watched the boats come and go, fish jump and birds galore. Our unit was very quiet and kept immaculately clean. The month went all too quickly and we truly enjoyed our "vacation" as well as our family visit. The Water Street Inn is a "hidden gem" in a resort area!

My husband and I live in Gaylord and decided we wanted a weekend get away. We found Water Street Inn to be just delightful. The condo we stayed in was recently renovated and everything was new and beautiful. (condo #314) We loved sitting on the balcony, overlooking Lake Charlevoix, in the morning and evening. The staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating. It is a very relaxed atmosphere. The Inn is close enough to walk to everything. We dined at Café Sante which is a pleasing, upscale, European style restaurant on the Lake. There are two ice cream stores packed full of wonderful goodies to indulge in and a Farmer's Market during Season. Because it was such a pleasant experience I'm sure we will return.

Room Tip: I didn't rate the fitness center or swimming pool because we didn't use them

This was our first stay at the Water Street Inn, but we will definitely come back when headed to northern Michigan again. From the booking to the end of our 2-day vacation, we had a most enjoyable time. The unit was clean, well stocked, quiet and the beds were comfortable. The view was gorgeous, especially at sunset. Had we come earlier in the season, we would have enjoyed the sandy beach and lawn chairs -- so we'll plan for that next time.

This was our First Family Reunion since 2001. Kelly at the Inn gets Kudo's for going out of her way to assist with some thoughtful and very special attention that made our visit there so memorable.

For those who appreciate the finest ambience, views and class, this is the only place in Boyne City.

I brought some souvenirs for Kelly from Montana after she said she wants to visit Montana someday and just received a thank you note from her yesterday. Another sign of class.

Will be back there again... Hopefully before another 10 years pass.
