“It's not fall without a visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 6, 2013

Cider is pressed at the mill. Doughnuts are crispy, and usually still warm. Delicious. A guilty pleasure that should be enjoyed every fall

“None better than this Cider”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 30, 2013

It opens on Labor day and closes Thanksgiving weekend. I have been going here my entire life and I am 57 yrs old.
The cider is unpasteurized but of all of the cider I have had around the metro detroit area this is the best. A plain donut, warm is all you need but don't pass uo on the carmel apples either. The atmosphere is just what you expect and you can see how the squish the apples. Ducks to feed in the stream, apples and other products available. It opens early am so if it is on your way in the morning stop for breakfast. The ONLY down side and this is a BIG ONE..it is difficult for folks in a wheelchair or with walkers because of the incline from the parking lot. I think there is handicapped parking in front during the week. If you are taking a group of ambulatory impared folks call and check this out. The weekends are busy but 5 pm during the week is quite calm. Don't miss it if you can help it.

“Classic old cider mill to visit in the fall”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 27, 2013

Franklin Cider mill is old and charming - visit in the fall to get cider, doughnuts, apple pie, and lots of other goodies.I think you can also get hot dogs in the evening. Franklin is "the town that time forgot" and it's quaint. Can get very crowded on nice days!

“Family tradition for decades”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 24, 2013

This is another Michigan gem that has been there as long as I remember and I am collecting SS :). Fresh pressed cider, warm homemade donuts and all the fall goodies you dream of in an old mill next to a stream with ducks. It's great even on a rainy day. Start this tradition with your family. I am sharing it with my grandchildren now. Love it!

“The best cider in Michigan.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 22, 2013

It's a great place for the entire family. I'm not sure but I believe it's over 130 years old. The press is powered by a water wheel. Call ahead to see what time they press the apples. I was amazed when I saw it with my parents about 55 years ago. The fried cakes (donuts) are to die for. Almost anything for sale is apple related
