“The best I can say about the Fox Grill is that it is hard to see from the road.”
Reviewed August 11, 2013

The place was almost empty and still the service was glacially slow. The food was mediocre at best.

They should reinvent themselves with new management, a new chief and new waiter.

Oh well, a lesson well learned by us, hopefully by them as well

All of us at The Fox Grill are dedicated to providing quality food and service. We fully understand that our reputation has to be earned each and every day and with every meal served. “Food still good--restaurant still noisy”
Reviewed August 9, 2013

We initially tried the Fox soon after it opened and really liked it -- located about 5 minutes from our home -- and really wanted to make it our local hangout. Unfortunately, although the food is very good, the acoustics are terrible. We had heard this from many of our friends who had previously been there and, alas, they were correct. If there are a number of people at the bar and they've had a few drinks, the noise level grows exponentially to an uproar. This effectively makes conversation at the tables almost non-existent. We tried it again today in the hope that they had addressed this issue -- to no avail. The food was very good and our server, Stacy, did an excellent job. However, three ladies at the bar who'd obviously been there for a while talked and laughed so loudly that we had difficulty hearing each other. What a shame that nothing has been done about the noise level.

Please understand the "The sound issue" has been of great concern to us at the FOX GRILL and me personally as the Chef .

We have been working on this for the past year and are happy to say we have just completed the second phase of the "acoustic reengineering" in the bar area. We look forward to you coming back and noticing the change.

Thank you for taking the time to review us.

“Nice staff, bad food”
Reviewed July 15, 2013

I was super excited when this place opened, bc options are limited in the area. It's an all American menu with items like pizza, burgers, french onion soup, sandwiches, steak tips, ceasar salad et al. So it boggles my mind that food is so bad. It also is lacking in certain staples like chicken fingers-, quesadillas, or a decent variety of sandwhiches. I think they are trying to be more upscale than chicken fingers but honestly they are so far off the mark and their quality is so low, they should stop pretending.

The only good part was the friendly hostess who seated us well, and promptly. The waitress was nice but totally inept. Forgot everything, including utensils, never refilled our drinks.

FOOD
The burger left a lot to be desired and was quite salty. Typical topping, typical boring bun. Nothing worse than a bad burger. Fast food burgers are better. The coney next door has better burgers.

The fries are soooo bad- I imagine theyre frozen bc they were hard as rocks/overcooked. How do you screw up fries so badly?

The salads are all awful. Salad bar quality. Even the croutons are garbage. The dressing is from a bottle.

French Onion soup is soooo salty that it has to be from a powder mix. Chain restaurants off the highway have better F.O.

The pizza- well this is funny and takes exception to a certain extent. Before we ordered, I asked my sister, who frequents FG, about the pizza. She said "its annoying bc sometimes its amazing and sometimes its awful. It must depend on who is making it" so we ordered a caprese pizza. It was one of the best New York style pizzas I have ever had the pleasure of eating. It was soo good, that the following weekend, on a sunday, we decided to do carryout pizza from FG. It was not only terrible, but it looked entirely different. It reminded me of a frozen pizza or the kind you get at a ballpark/stadium. Just really terrible. NIght and day compared to the one we had the previous week

Overall the food is bad and very salty

“Comfortable environment, rarely crowded.”

Nice recent addition to the local choices. Reasonable value, can occasionally be noisy. Simple food, nothing exotic!
