“Very busy with good food”
Reviewed August 16, 2014 via mobile

Mason Jar is a smallish restaurant. Locally sourced food, much organic and gluten free. A bit of a wait for our table. I think we hit the rush as things slowed down after we were seated.
The food is good. I would like to return and try some of the other offerings. I had the huevos rancheros. Very nice.
Would be nice if the offered coffee during our wait.
The lunch also looked tasty.
They offer indoor and outdoor seating.

“Nice atmosphere and great food”
Reviewed August 11, 2014

On a busy Monday morning, we had to wait for our table, but the adjacent artist co-op, allowed us to view all different types of work from local artists. Once seated, our table was by the corner window where we could see the latest new neighboring businesses that are cropping up in this gentrifying section of Benton Harbor. Menu is imaginative with many gluten free offerings. Portions were quite large - so much that you can easily share. I had the gluten free banana oat pancakes with chocolate chips on top. Three huge pancakes were tasty and filling. The side order of corned beef hash was quite good - but I had to save it for a snack later. It was big enough for a separate meal. Beverages were served in mason jars, of course. We were served by the proprietor, who demonstrated her classic training by perfectly memorizing our 5 orders. Food was delivered promptly. Servers checked on us frequently.

“Great little organic place”
Reviewed August 6, 2014

This place was a nice find in BH. Their menu is very granola, if you know what I mean. Most of the items on the menu were organic, and they had a good selection of food. I really felt that the food here was not overly processed and very natural.

“Great new place in BH”
Reviewed August 2, 2014

Great food, great attitude, great ambience. Trendy decor, good attention to the food. Just what tired BH needs more of. Support them.
