“Very cozy B&B!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 4, 2012

We stayed at the Applesauce B&B for a couple nights in August 2012 and it was a great experience. The wrap around porch is wonderful with coffee in the morning or with a glass of wine in the evening. The breakfasts were delicious and the fellow guests we met were fantastic! There is also a homemade snack served every evening, which is unique from a lot of other B&B`s that we`ve visited. Our room had air conditioning, which was much appreciated in August, and the room was cozy and clean. Definitely locate it on a map before heading out, because it can be a little challenging to locate if you`re not familiar with the area!

Room Tip: The Carmel Room shares a bathroom with the innkeepers, but it is cleaned daily and oh-so-cute (claw...

This is one of the best B&Bs we have stayed in. We love the coziness and comfort of the place. Jamie is an excellent host and you can tell that she loves what she does. The breakfasts and late-night desserts were simply delicious. Sitting in the porch in the late evening or early morning is quite an experience. If you plan to be in northern MI, this is the place to stay.

This may be superfluous in light of the string of 5-star reviews I see, but I feel compelled to add another. This is the epitome of the cozy, comfortable, pampering B&B experience -- one of the very best we've stayed in. Jamie's cooking is outstanding, both in the breakfasts and the fresh-baked late-night desserts. Very peaceful country location ... sitting on the wrap-around porch and watching a thunderstorm roll in one night was a totally relaxing experience. The location puts you just a few minutes from Bellaire, where there are several appealing restaurants, and fairly centrally located for day trips to Traverse City and other parts of this lovely area.

First time at a B & B. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. The inn keepers (Jamie/Gary) were very hospitable, gracious, and friendly, and Jamie is a great cook! The rooms were nice, the beds comfy and so many little extras, we were pampered like royalty. If you plan to be in northern MI, you won't go wrong staying here.

Room Tip: Applesauce in only has one bedroom downstairs so if stairs are an issue be sure to book the room on...

I agree with the other reviews as having a great host and great hostility. The only problem I could find was how close the house was to M88. Sitting on the porch hoping for peace and quite was not to be found. With the highway 50 feet or so from the road, M88, caused a great deal of noise.

We just spent four days at the Applesauce B&B and it was awesome! I don't know where to begin.... the delicious breakfasts cooked by Jamie, the afternoon lemonade & homemade cookies, the evening wine and scrumptious desserts (once again, homemade by Jamie), the beautifully decorated rooms, as well as, the comfy seating areas on the wraparound porch. I could go on and on, but if you are looking for a B&B to stay at..... you have got to pick this one. I promise, you will not be disappointed!! Just be prepared to go home a few pounds heavier:)

We stayed at the Applesauce Inn over a beautiful October weekend. The location is great- close enough to everything that it's convenient, but far enough away that you're still able to relax. The owners are amazing-- they have thought of every detail. The food was excellent and plentiful-we actually skipped lunch after the huge breakfasts Jamie made. The inn itself is beautiful and well-kept. We are planning on coming back every fall, especially since we became engaged on the front porch!
