Description: Gatsby's Seafood & Steakhouse is owned and operated by Rick Revette. The Revette family is well known for owning restaurants for the past 75 years. Mr. Revette also owns Mulligans Pub downtown another Bay City favorite for 27 years. You will see Rick running around serving food, washing glasses and bussing tables most day and nights. He is committed to serving quality food at a very reasonable price and making sure everyone has an enjoyable time. The atmosphere is warm and inviting with the turn of the century brick walls and soft accent lighting. It is tastefully decorated in a Roaring Twenties theme.

Great regular lunch hang out. The spinach dip with pita chips or pita bread is the best. The turkey ruben, chicken wrap are yummy and they serve ginger ale!

“Second time here, again disappointed.”
Reviewed February 20, 2014

I had steak and shrimp. Shrimp was actually cold to the touch? Steak wasn't bad, cooked properly but bland. The "lightly" breaded shrimp was only breading, not sure if there was shrimp in there or not. At a restaurant like this you would think they might batter their own shrimp not take it from a bag. The bar food, easy to cook and prepare seemed to be good. The atmosphere is nice, great location, historical feel. We had the same waitress both times and she certainly is a treat. Brash, and kinda snotty. I think we have given this place a chance, won't return as there are better spots real close by.

I am sorry for your experience. The shrimp are actually 16 to 20 count which are quite large. We also have large skewered un breaded shrimp available on the menu. I appreciate your business and hope I can get you back. Ask for me and I will make sure you are happy !

“Good all around”

The food was really good & prices were pretty reasonable. Breads/buns were bakery style fresh, generous amount of fries, and the kids meals were plentiful. Fun atmosphere too! Will return!!

“A Winner!”
Reviewed August 1, 2013

We visited Bay City during the Tall Ships Festival. Gatsby's Steakhouse and Saloon is downtown, about two blocks from the river and near the planetarium. We ate lunch there on the first day and absolutely loved it! The atmosphere is "speak easy" gangster era. The food was very affordable and delicious. We had a deli sandwich and a Works burger. We liked it so much we came back for dinner and another lunch. The only negative was that the pork chop and fish for dinner were somewhat overcooked and a little dry. Good service even during a very busy time. Its is no wonder this is a popular spot for locals!

“Worth the effort.”
Reviewed March 23, 2013

We dropped in for late lunch/early dinner recently and were pleasantly surprised.

The food was good, the service better and prices very reasonable.

Not too crowded, not too noisy.

Anyone looking for a good meal in downtown Bay City, MI try this place.

We'll be back.
