for a chain the service was unbelievable. the food was good, nothing great, but good enough to come back for. tried 4 sides between us, all were good. ham and fish were also good. food came out so fast i thought they knew what we were ordering in advance. now the service part. seen the menu had the dinner trout was $2 more than the lunch trout. the dinner trout comes with 3 sides and the lunch trout comes with 2 sides. sides separately cost $2.35. since 2 sides were enough i ordered the lunch trout. assuming the price of the sides meant that was the difference between the lunch/dinner not having anything to do with the portion of fish. when i got the trout there was only a half a trout on the plate. waitress must have noticed my expression and asked right away if everything was ok. i said i wished i had known that the lunch was only 1 piece and i thought i read the dinner had 2 pieces. she said the dinner has an extra piece of fish and an extra side. she asked if i wanted the other piece and the side for an extra charge, she was not sure how much and would ask the manager. i said forget it, not a problem that this would be fine. 2 minutes later the manager comes over and asks if everything is ok. again i say everything is good and there was no mistake on their part i had ordered what i got, so, it was nice of her to ask but everything is good the service as well as the food. when we finish the waitress asks if i want to take home a piece of trout and a side, free. asked if she was kidding. no we want you to be happy. i tell her, how about i just get another trout and side now. i am still a little hungry. of course she says i'll be right back. comes back with another drink for me and my wife mentioning the food will be out in a couple miinutes. after we were done she wanted to know if we wanted another one of our drinks in a cup to go,free. i have only gone there for the outlets. now i will go there to eat, maybe go to the outlets while we are there. can't wait to try the breakfast.

Cheap food in a clean place is about the best I can say. If you want to eat decently you can get a salad and sandwich. You can also get any combination of the the most disgusting food America offers, mac and cheese, fried chicken or pork BBQ anyone?

There are loads of cheap tchotchkes in the gift store along with a great selection of nostalgic candies like Nik-o-liks, atomic fireballs, double bubble, black jack, clove and beemans gum, and turkish taffy.

first time eating in Cracker Barrel after a day of shopping at factory outlet. Ordered the beef stew which came not even warm and hardly can find any meat in the stew,The biscuit was the only better than average food. Prices are low in general but don't think it is value for money.

Sweet tea, grits, biscuits and gravy, country ham, hash brown casserole, fried apples - all day long. Great value and yummy...but only on special occasions because it's not healthy food.
