“Eggplant Parm”
Reviewed May 17, 2013

This is the best eggplant parm I have ever had. It is sliced so thin and layered with lots of cheese and sauce. Honey loves the Lasagna. Many layers with just cheese filling and sauce. Yumm. Excellent blue cheese salad dressing as well.

“Out of the way but food is very good.”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

Awesome bread & cocktails. All pasta is cooked to perfection. Stay away from their "homemade" italian sausage....tastes like Nothing....like sawdust....ugh! What a disappointment...

“Okay at best”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

I have no idea why people rave about this place. It's average at best. I have never found the food outstanding. Like I said, it's OKAY. Want great Italian? Head for Shrewsbury St. I think most of the food here is canned or packaged. I could be wrong, but that's what it tastes like. The decor is old, but charming.

“Disappointed.”
Reviewed February 11, 2013

HAd heard such good things sbout this place off Plantation St. that we tried on a Sat. nite to get in. No luck, so we went back Sunday afternoon, no crowd, only two or three other tables occupied. Service was friendly although we had to wait several minutes since there was no one at the hostess stand. The three of us all ordered a different veal dish aftger sharing an appetizer of fried calamari which was ok, nothing special. the veal dishes ALL were pretty dreadful. The veal was too thick, tough, and mainly gristle. The pasta sides were large servings with a cloyingly sweet sauce. Minestrone soup, another appetizer, was probably canned and not very good. We skipped dessert and we just wanted to get away from this place. Never again.

“Great Valentine's Day Dinner Date!”
Reviewed January 15, 2013

Or anytime. A quaint out of the way restaurant where you can find excellent cuisine and a romantic setting. Upscale prices and you do get what you pay for here. (This is based on my visit, many years ago)
