Description: The idea behind One Eleven Chop House was to establish a Chicago-style steakhouse right here in Worcester. The elegance and sophistication of the decor complements some of the best-tasting steaks and chops you'll find anywhere. All of our cuts are either certified prime-grade or in the top 10% of the choice grade. And they're all expertly prepared. Choose from traditional steaks done right or less traditional favorites, such as Long Island Duck Two Ways, Sirloin Encrusted in Black Pepper with a Shallot Brandy Cream Sauce, or a Mixed Grill of Filet Mignon, Confit of Duck and Blackened Shrimp.

This restaurant is one of three in a locally-owned chain, and our favorite of the three. This time, we enjoyed "bang bang" shrimp and a cold sirloin salad with sesame noodles, a thick salmon filet with a creamy sauce and surf and turf featuring hanger steak and chimichurri sauce. This is a great place for a power dinner or a date night. It may not be inexpensive, but it is high quality, with professional service.

Mid week visit found the place packed. The pair who served the table were very attentive of our needs and were at arms length to provide for us. The beef was scrumptious and prepared exactly as ordered. Frites and salad were done well and the desserts enjoyed by our group were large, delicious, and shared. The drawbacks were difficulty of conversation due to the large crown and limited parking since there are several restaurants in the area which also appeared packed. First time here although did try others in the area while in college in town.

We went to 111 Chop house with friends last weekend. We went on a Sunday evening, which was nice since it was not crowded. We got a table and were seated quickly. The wait staff was professional and attentive. The steaks and lamb were excellent. We started with some appetizers of Firecracker sushi roll and sliced seared ahi tuna as well as wedge salad and Beef Carpaccio. They were excellent and delicious. They have a very good wine list, as well as beers and a full bar. Dinners come with either a salad or soup. The salads were really good, they had a lot of variety in them, well beyond the standard greens. The steaks were incredibly tender and flavorful. My wife got the Wagyu beef steak. It was incredibly tender and tasty. I opted for the braised Lamb shank, which was fork tender and melt in your mouth. My buddy got the dry aged NY sirloin which was very tender. The desserts were excellent. The sorbetto was very flavorful and the cheesecake was excellent.
To be balanced, 111 is expensive. By the time you have wine, apps, dinner and dessert it will set you back $100 per head. That may not be too expensive in some areas, but it's pricey for central MA. For special occasions, it's worth the splurge.

This was the second time we had eat at the Chop House with the first time being about 5 years ago. Restaurant is extremely noisy. Service was on the slow side and we felt like we were rushed when leaving-table was being cleared before we even stood up to leave. Braised short rib was tough and stringy, cappuccino was watery and bitter, but steaks were good. Molten lava cake was tops but chocolate and caramel bread pudding was chewy and soggy. VERY expensive. Just not worth the money.

We generally get there early for the happy hour appetizer specials at the bar. While they don't label it as such, it's kind of like a tapas bar. Small portions of VERY high quality food at a reasonable price. And the service staff is super friendly and professional. Always a special treat going to 111 – keep up the good work!
