We only ate breakfast (continental) as it was included in the rate. However, they did have a large menu selection. We saw the bar area that is very popular at night. Unique set up, would like to have been able to see it at night. The food we had was very good and the service also good.

Another enjoyable evening at Ceres Bistro. It would be hard to find fault with anything. OK, the floor could have used a vacuuming, but other than that, it was just the kind of experience we hoped for. Good food and wonderful service from Jess. The Fried Calamari appetizer was tasty and tender, and the bacon bits and bleu cheese on the Iceberg Wedge salad added flair. My entree, the Shrimp Carbonara (yes, more bacon), was just what the doctor ordered, and - as an example of how different our tastes are - my companion loved the all-vegetable Fall Harvest Bento. I recommend the Trio of Local Sorbet, featuring unique flavors, each paired with fresh berries. I topped things off with a glass of Alexander Cabernet Sauvignon Grappa. If you like grappa, you'll enjoy this one. We're making Ceres one of our regular stops.

Our 4 night stay included a continental breakfast each morning. The first morning we found the selection to be quite poor and the service lacking. After one fill of coffee and juice we could not find a server to replenish the drinks. Not trying to be picky but only one flavor of yoguart and two types of cold cereal is really not sufficient for an upscale restaurant.

A few days later we held a post wedding breakfast at the restaurant and again were disappointed. This was after speaking with Dorothy the catering manager and identifying to her what we felt was substandard at the breakfast. She did apologize and assured us all would be fine for our breakfast. We even looked at the room that we would be using and at that time she showed us were a few extra tables would be placed as we had about 50 coming for breakfast. At the time of breakfast not only were additional tables not set up but at least one, if not more, of the normally set up tables was missing. When I spoke with the on duty manager she told me that the table was removed to be used in the other area of the dining area for their toaster. I told her that it was unacceptable that guests would have to stand but she said she did not have any additional table. After a few minutes it became apparent that people that were not in our party were coming into our area as we paid extra for hot food. I again brought this to the attention of the manager and she did not respond.

Bottom line is that this hotel was spectacular but the staff in the restaurant need to be replaced.
