I honestly cannot imagine ANYONE not loving Armsby Abbey! The food is wonderful and very different from what you find at other restaurants in the area. I would recommend ordering several items and sharing; it's just way too difficult to make a decision otherwise!

My absolute favorite is the fig and caramelized onion grilled cheddar cheese sandwich, which comes on delicious multigrain bread and is served with a small portion of pilaf. The mac and cheese is a close runner up, and is topped with thickly cut croutons... yum! Pizzas have thin crusts and are the perfect size for sharing amongst two or three people; as vegetarians, we especially like the Mediterranean. An exception to the sharing rule are the salads, as these are rather small, so we usually order one per person. Soups are tasty and highly recommended.

Beer drinkers will be extremely impressed with the large selection of beers from around the world, and cocktails are both imaginative and delicious.

Looking around, patrons range from college age to older folks, and the mix adds to the ambiance. All in all, an evening at Armsby Abbey is sure be enjoyable!

Fantastic selection of beers, bordering on overwhelming. Food is fantastic. If it's in season when you go, try the bacon grilled cheese sandwich and soup. The exposed brick and reclaimed wood tables, along with the giant wooden bar make the Abbey comfortable and familiar. The abbey has the added bonus of being a gastro-pub that utilizes local produce and meat, so you're supported local agriculture when you eat there.

This is one of the best places in downtown Worcester. They have tons of beer selection, perfect if you love beer! They do not have a lot in terms of a full menu, but the ones that they serve taste really good (and they get it from local sources too). They also serve brunch on weekends.
