My girlfriend and I rode bikes from Falmouth into Woods Hole on Sunday, July 7. We had been in Woods Hole last year on the same excursion and decided to try a different restaurant. We wandered upon the Landfall and decided to try it out.
We loved the atmosphere of the Landfall. Lots of seafaring type decor adorn the walls and ceiling. We were able to get seated at a table with open air doors looking out on the water. As it was a hot day and a cool breeze was blowing in off the water, this was great.
We both ordered the Cape Cod Blonde beer - nice and light and served cold. For lunch, my girlfriend ordered a salad and added scallops. I expected 3-4; but the salad showed up with a dozen scallops! They were delicious. I had to try the lobster burger - I got the 1/4 lb. vs the 1/2 lb. version (I did have to bike back to Falmouth afterall). It was very good, with coleslaw served over it. I got this with a small side of onion rings that we split.
Our service was prompt and friendly. I have noticed the term "pricey" used here. Well - I suppose to a certain degree that is true, but how many places come with these views? We will definitely come back here on our next trip to Wood's Hole and recommend this restaurant.
