“Lunch with a View”
Reviewed July 11, 2013

My girlfriend and I rode bikes from Falmouth into Woods Hole on Sunday, July 7. We had been in Woods Hole last year on the same excursion and decided to try a different restaurant. We wandered upon the Landfall and decided to try it out.

We loved the atmosphere of the Landfall. Lots of seafaring type decor adorn the walls and ceiling. We were able to get seated at a table with open air doors looking out on the water. As it was a hot day and a cool breeze was blowing in off the water, this was great.

We both ordered the Cape Cod Blonde beer - nice and light and served cold. For lunch, my girlfriend ordered a salad and added scallops. I expected 3-4; but the salad showed up with a dozen scallops! They were delicious. I had to try the lobster burger - I got the 1/4 lb. vs the 1/2 lb. version (I did have to bike back to Falmouth afterall). It was very good, with coleslaw served over it. I got this with a small side of onion rings that we split.

Our service was prompt and friendly. I have noticed the term "pricey" used here. Well - I suppose to a certain degree that is true, but how many places come with these views? We will definitely come back here on our next trip to Wood's Hole and recommend this restaurant.

“Wonderful seafood”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

Thank goodness we had friends in the area to tell us about Landfall restaurant. Both the appetizers and the entrees were great. Service was prompt and friendly. There was an outside eating area with a firepit, but being a hot July evening we decided to eat indoors. There was also a beautiful view of the water that we enjoyed with our meal. When we go back we will return to Landfall.

“Good but pricey”
Reviewed July 5, 2013

The atmosphere can't be beat here. Right on the water and has a wonderful nautical feel. The servers are wonderful and attentive. The food is delicious, but expensive and very small portions.

“Tasty seafood in front of the sea”
Reviewed July 4, 2013

Been there in April 2013 for lunch, on an excursion to Cape Cod with 4 friends. A Boston friend suggested to stop there and it was a very good decision! The clam "chowder" was excellent (I'd say the best ever), then we had lobster, fried calamari and scallops, fish filets etc. All the dishes were tasty and the servings rather abundant. The place is traditional, with fish nets and old buoys hanging from the sealing and the staff is kind and reasonably quick in service. Don't miss a walk through the village of Woods Hole which is very nice and looks typical of New England coast.
