“Cheapest Transport to and from Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket”
Reviewed September 9, 2012

Basically a floating city bus going to and from the islands. Boats are clean and there is food consessions on the boats.

IMPORTANT - BE EARLY for your departure times! Parking is mostly off site in the Summer and you will be shuttled to the boat from parking areas. This adds time. The buses are not on your schedule.

“Great trip to the Vineyard. They are affordable and reliable.”

We used the Steamship authority to travel to Marthas Vineyard. The ship was huge and has a cafe inside. Plenty of spacious seeting. It was very inexpensive to travel with them.

“Very organized, Great ship!”
Reviewed September 5, 2012

We went over on the largest ship (can't remember the name) and brought our Model A Ford. The staff was very solicitous and put us right behind a large tractor trailer so we could get out quickly. The upstairs lounges and deck areas were great for viewing the harbor.

“Nice, easy, recommended”
Reviewed September 5, 2012

A very nice and easy ride, not much more you could ask for. Not many bells & whistles, but get the job done. Seemed to arrive at Martha's Vineyard faster than the published time. Plenty of seating both inside and out.

“Terrific”
Reviewed September 4, 2012 via mobile

We've been visiting the Vineyard for 20 years. The ships and their teams are efficient and nice. All we can say is reserve early so you have A spot because you will want your car to move around. And you don't want to struggle waiting around if you don't have to. The bigger boat has a cafe with very nice staff. There are bathrooms and it's a great way to start a lovely vacation.
