The inn is within walking distance to the Martha's Vineyard ferry. That is the best part about staying at this inn. I was disappointed that we were unable to get the room we reserved - room 5. they were working on phone lines. Instead we were given room 8 - if you like a small room with firm beds this is your room. we did not receive a discount for not getting what we were promised. we were charged full price for room 8. it has a shared bathroom so the inn was unable to rent out the connecting room but that wasn't our fault. also you should know that room 8 has a continuous flow of people walking outside your window. my daughter got sick so we spent a lot of time in the room and it felt small. the parking lot is also small and we feared losing our spot if we moved the car. There isn't a lot to do in Woods Hole especially off season, so moving your car is a must. if you are visiting the Oceanographic Institution - this is your place to stay.

We regret that this customer did not receive the room they booked because of an unexpected last-minute repair. While at the inn, there is always a parking spot for you and there is no need to fear losing the space.

There is much to explore in Woods Hole -- visit the aquarium, take a charter fishing boat out to explore the many harbors and fishing holes, use one of our free bikes to explore the bike path (11 miles, no cars, wonderful views of the beach and Martha's Vineyard), enjoy a Cape Codder with your feet in the water at the famous Landfall restaurant, tour the US Coast Guard station, visit the Titanic exhibit, walk around the Eel Pond and peek over the hedgerows of the rich and famous, shop the local pottery studios and art galleries, row across the harbor, swim at Stoney Beach, visit Nobska Lighthouse and so much more! Particularly fun is our photo-tour package where a guide takes you to all the secret and photogenic spots in town.

This is a cozy inn with great service, excellent breakfasts, and a wonderful view. The staff seemed genuinely interested in making us feel at home, and helping us "discover" Woods Hole. We will return to Woods Hole Inn, and we will certainly recommend it to our friends.

The staff at the Inn were absolutely wonderful. They made us feel like we were long lost friends. They shared a little history about the Inn which we found facinating. The food was "out of this world". The bed was the most comfortable one we've ever slept on. Good thing we didn't have our truck with us :-) The only misfortunate thing about the location is the noise (dumpster pick ups and ferry blowing their horn early AM). Next time we will be sure to turn the fan on to drown out the noise. We would rate our stay with the Inn a 9 out of 10. We will definitely be back! The water pressure in the shower was a bit low...had to chase the drops but all the other great assests overrode that!

I stayed in room 5. The bed was so comfy. I was pleased with everything- the breakfasts by Sara are to die for!!! Excellent place. Nearby restaurants- great location. The best place to stay in Woods Hole.

Great B&B - the first one I ever stayed in. The breakfast was fantastic. I loved the bed. I slept without a peep uninterrupted. The staff was courteous. Decor was great. I loved the house-like feel. Would recommend wholeheartedly and would love to come back some day. I actually preferred staying in Woods hole over being inside Martha's Vineyard.

We love woods hole ma. The inn is in the "center" of a small town and near everything. The room was just redone and lovely (we brought our puppy, they have a dog friendly room) Breaky was made at the inn and was great each day. The inn lunch spot (lobster tacos) had not opened yet.
What is great is the inn is across the street from our favorite dinner spot the Landfall. It had just opened for the season.
The staff was friendly and helpful. Great spot!
