“Nieghborhood Bakery and landmark”
Reviewed November 3, 2012

Romas has been around for a long time same place same hours and same solid pastrys and pizza for a long time.

The pizzas are bakery pizzas and present good taste and good value but can be a little short on the sauce.

The Italian cookies are the bomb

“Amazing Old School STYLE Pies”
Reviewed October 20, 2012

I bumped into Roma's at the Waltham MA Farmer's Market where they were selling a dozen or more varieties of pies... some sweet - some savory.

The ones we purchased were Spinach & Cheese and Thanksgiving Dinner.

All their pies have flaky top crusts - just like your mother might have made if she was a pastry chef. They come in deep, deep, rectangular alum pans so they look like something from a NYC deli. They have complete crusts (sides and bottoms) so you can pop them out of the pans whole.

It's the first time there was ever too much spinach... meaning it was delicious and more than a meal... the world's best leftovers.

The Thanksgiving Dinner pie had every taste of Thanksgiving in it including cranberries and some celery as well as turkey, stuffing, and gravy. It was moist but not runny or gloppy.

If you have single friends/ aging relatives/etc. who will not be cooking their own bird - RUN to Roma's and buy them a Thanksgiving Pie - wrap it with a ribbon and drop it off for their enjoyment Thanksgiving week.

A great find !!

“Excellent”

We stopped at this bakery on a tip from our waiter at dinner. Wow! They had so many great desserts. Wish we had a place like this by us.

“Great Italian bakery”
Reviewed June 15, 2012

Roma's is mainly for takeout, with just a few seats in the deli section, but serves excellent and enormous sandwiches for $6.50, made on fresh bakery bread (the Roma, with prosciutto, red peppers and balsamic vinegar was great), but all kinds of desserts are the main draw. The lemoncello cake ($2.89) was perfect--dense yellow cake with lemon filling and Italian whipped cream. Staff was very helpful and cared that we were satisfied. It's definitely the place to go for fabulous desserts at a great price, and the deli is a sure bet for sandwiches.

“A real Italian Bakery Shop!”
Reviewed July 27, 2011

It's nice to actually walk into a real Italian bakery shop. A good selection as well. I was looking for pizelles and didn't find them. But the rest of the sweets looked great.
