“The Heart of a College Town is the Local Coffee Shop”
Reviewed March 30, 2014

Tunnel City is one of the busiest places you can be, any morning, in WIlliamstown. That long line should not worry you though - they are used to it and service is FAST and FRIENDLY. The coffee is great and they've recently moved things around a little - giving them a whole island in the center from which they prepare the espresso type beverages. The baked goods are tasty, the limited lunch items good - it's the sort of place you can start out with coffee, slide into a capuccino and pastry, and then eventually a piece of quiche and a brewed iced tea... and before you know it the morning is gone and you've just simply enjoyed yourself. It's a bustling place with both students and faculty from Williams College as well as locals and tourists. Often there is art being exhibited on the walls - there are some fine local artists showcased here.

“The place in Williamstown for coffee and a little nosh”
Reviewed March 5, 2014

If you are in need of caffeine between 6 in the morning and 6 at night this is the place in Williamstown. Your only problem may be finding a place to sit. If you can find a place for a baked treat to go with your caffeinated beverage, there are plenty of excellent choices here. My personal favorites are the cherry pie (seasonal) and the cinnamon horseshoe, doesn't look like much but don't let that fool you.

“The best pastries, cakes and coffee in the Berkshires”
Reviewed January 30, 2014

I love this café. This is a big offer of coffee, tea, smoothies and other drinks. Also there is the best homemade pastries and cakes in whole Berkshires. If you will visit Williamstown you must go there. In the warm weather, spring, summer and early fall there is nice outdoor seating.

“Rent a table for whole day for the price of one cup of coffee!”
Reviewed January 24, 2014

Nice, cozy locally-owned coffee shop with good pastries and cakes. Good selection of teas and coffees. The hot chocolate is a bit too sweet for my taste. During term, the place is packed with students from Williams College who rent a table for the price of a coffee and hang out there for hours. Friendly staff, great location on Spring St.
