Great stay while traveling with my son to look at colleges. This motel is clean and comfortable. It is also within walking distance to Williams College and the local museums. The owners are kind and friendly. Would definitely stay there again.

Old fashioned motel with modern comforts like free WIFI. Throwback, quaint country setting in New England town with European feel
that is spotlessly clean. Comfortable with all the little touches like chocolates by the bed, complimentary bottled water, and continental breakfast. Refrigerator and coffee maker (tea, coffee, even little cinnamon buns - I especially loved that there was a little card listing the ingredients for those allergic people!) in room. While located on the main road the rooms are set back so it is very peaceful and quiet. Beautifully manicured grounds. Lovely hosts; friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend and will definitely stay here again when visiting this area.

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. We enjoyed our time at Maple Terrace: it was clean, comfortable, cozy and friendly. Convenient for all the museums we enjoyed seeing, with extra special touches that made us feel so welcome and at home - a great place!

My husband and I always stay at the Maple Terrace when we visit Williams College. Ann and Kjell are always welcoming. The motel is comfortable and reasonably priced. It is attractively landscaped and has an outdoor pool. And Ann and Kjell provide coffee, juice and a breakfast cake in the morning; that can be a big plus if you have to rush off to attend an early student event on campus. Keep in mind, this is not a large fancy hotel. It's a small friendly motel and a great value.

I will add to the chorus of great reviews for this small, comfortable and affordable motel. My wife and two sons stayed for two nights while on a ski trip to Jiminy Peak, which is 20 miles/minutes to the south. We decided not to stay slope-side due to cost, and I'm glad we chose this place. It's a fraction of the cost (it's their off-season), so we got two rooms, and it's located in Williamstown, which is pretty and has lots of restaurant options. The rooms have small fridges and hair dryers. The bathrooms and everything else are clean as a pin. After 7:30, you can grab a coffee, pound cake and OJ in the check-in area of the main house. There's also a coffee maker in the room.

We ate one night at a Mexican Restaurant, Coyote Flaco, which was very good but not inexpensive. There's also a good coffee bar in town at the end of Main Street, Terra Cafe.

I recommend this friendly motel to skiers looking for a nice place to stay that's a fairly quick drive to the slopes.

Room Tip: We had two rooms and they were both nice.

The grounds are wonderful, but in winter, it's too cold to stay outside for long and the pool is irrelevant. The room itself is very clean and the bed comfy, but it's a bit small for a motel room, and in my room (105) there was no bath-tub, just a shower. On the plus side, it's very well-lit, which is unusual in most motels. The TV is a bit old, and comes with DVD and VHS (!) players. You can rent a DVD at the Red Box machine in the nearby Stop & Shop. There's no breakfast, just coffee, OJ and nice blueberry bread. The ex-Swedish owner is lovely, but to be honest, there are better options in Williamstown in winter.
