Description: The Purple Pub has been the place to gather in Williamstown since 1973, serving lunch and dinner 7 days a week. Whether you're looking for traditional pub food or delicious entrees, we have you covered. Patrons can drink and dine at the large mahogany bar or in the comfort of the semi-private dining room. Come watch the game on one of our large screen televisions or enjoy a romantic dinner with someone special. Don't forget to try one of our 14 draft beers (we have bottled beer too), served in a frosted glass.

“Fine Pub Food”
Reviewed September 4, 2012

Overall a decent experience with the typical Pub fare. It was a nice night and we sat in the courtyard so the kids could run around.

“Nice lunch”
Reviewed September 1, 2012

We enjoyed our time at this posh facility. A glass of wine and some nice treats made conversation fun and enjoyable. We like the spot and hope to return someday.

“Pretty ordinary for the money = poor Value”
Reviewed August 4, 2012

We stopped by the Purple Pub recently and were completely underwhelmed. I am giving it 3 stars because nothing was really terrible or inedible. But it should be a 2 star rating, IMO. Maybe the $5 burger on Thursday is a great deal but nothing else is. The roast beef "club" (?) special was $12.95 and it was NOT a $12.95 sandwich by a long shot. It came with fries which were cold, limp, underdone, and obviously not cooked to order. You can bet someone in the kitchen jut reached under the warming light, grabbed a handful fries and plopped them on the plate. When our companion asked about the cole slaw which came with all the other sandwiches, server said it doesn't come with the special HUH??? Are you kidding me?? Cole slaw was in a thimble-sized paper cup anyway. Geez, can you spare it?
The sandwich was good . too bad the roast beef was medium with no pink in it but the Caesar salad was a real joke! It consisted of chopped bagged salad thrown on a plate with some over-done croutons. A thimble-full of dressing was on the side, not mixed with the salad, no shredded cheese on the top. Sheesh, do they even know what a Caesar Salad IS? Pretty disappointing and very expensive.
They advertised gazpacho soup on the board which is why we stopped at this place. But after ordering at 12:30 on a busy Friday, server came out 5 minutes later and said soup wasn't "ready". Seriously? Then take it off the board.
So all in all, the food was ok and certainly edible, the server was very nice and efficient. But this place is way over-priced for what you get. Our bill for 1 roast beef club, 1 lobster roll and 1 Caesar salad, 3 waters was $46 + tip! Wow. Go down the street to the deli. You will fare better.
