Clearly a motel from an earlier era in architecture and layout, this motel is as clean and comfortable as any modern equivalent. The proprieter is very warm, welcoming, and accommodating to your every need. It's a real gem!

My Dad and I stayed here for one night to visit Williams College.
Our room was surprisingly large, kept up well with 2 comfortable queen beds, a TV, desk, fridge, microwave (which was a first), coffee maker, ironing board and bathroom. Everything was clean and functioning, and the staff was lovely and friendly.
Personally, I had a problem with the wifi, but my dad said that his was working more than sufficiently well so I will have to blame that one on my laptop. We got a discount at the Spice Root restaurant owned by the same people so we had a really good Indian dinner.
We felt it was a good value for what we paid for.

My husband and I stayed here on a Friday night in Room 4 (one queen). VERY cramped, and stained ceiling, carpet, old mattress, but clean as mentioned in other reviews. Our daughter and her friend stayed in room 12A, which was larger (2 beds) and it looked nicer than our room.

Room Tip: Room 4, one bed, very small. Room 12A, two beds, roomy.

This is an inexpensive motel in a town filled with expensive motels that provide nothing more. Clean room, clean bathroom, friendly staff, efficient and friendly housekeeping, excellent free wi-fi, flat screen TV with cable, most other amenities you would expect, such as coffee maker and iron/ironing board.

The problem is that it is drab and boring. We spent 4 nights and started feeling claustrophobic. A strong smell of disinfectant/deodorizer permeates the room, which requires some quick airing out.

My husband and I stayed one night here on the way down from Maine. We were greeted warmly and made to feel comfortable right from the start. 2 minor problems were dealt with efficiently and quickly. The room was large, very clean, and quiet, with excellent beds. Questions we had about the area were given good advice. The simple breakfast was still generous-- cold cereal, muffins, toast, fruit, yogurt, juices, etc.
The motel is not in walking distance to the town. ( It wouldn't be pleasant to walk on that part of route 2 anyway.) However, a short ride got us into the heart of things.
We mostly appreciate the genuine warmth of the staff. It was a good experience all around.

We recently stayed at this hotel for one night and had a very nice experience. Rooms clean and sufficient. The continental breakfast was a step above most. Along with pre-packaged pastries, there were fresh donuts, yogurt, fresh milk for cereal, fresh fruit and very good coffee. The best part was how helpful the staff were to us and other guest. They happily provided a 10 page pdf. document (in color) of the best day hikes on Mount Greylock and were particular helpful to some thru-hikers who needed assistance (including driving them to get needed supplies/hike drop off points. The cost is commensurate with the level of service.

I stayed here for three nights for the Solid Sound festival at Mass Moca. I was originally booked at the Willows, where I had a pending request for a larger room. The owner of the Willows Motel is related to the owner of the Williamstown Motel. When we arrived at Willows the owner graciously offered us a larger room across the street and up the road, at the Williamstown Motel at no extra charge. We were somewhat wary, but needed the extra space. When we arrived, the owner greeted us with a gift bag filled with treats, gave us the wifi code and our key. During our stay, the owners, who live on site, were friendly and efficient and responded promptly to any requests (corkscrew, map, extra towels, extra pillows).
The room was spacious. The wifi signal was good. We spent very little time in the room because we were at Mass Moca every day, but when we were there I felt safe and I slept well.
The continental breakfast was welcome. Nothing fancy, but just enough to get you started. I enjoyed drinking my coffee on the deck every morning. I would definitely stay here again. An easy drive to Mass Moca. Close to Solid Sound bus stop.
