“Comfortable Restaurant--Great Food”
Reviewed August 17, 2012

We just went for the second time last night. We had stumbled across it on a trip to town in June to plan our move. We knew once we moved it would become a favorite. Last night we celebrated out move with old friends.

When we first saw it we thought it was going to be "Diner Like" and have found others thought so too. Actually it is more upscale than that, not "pub like" either. On Friday and Saturday nights they do tablecloths, otherwise the tables are nice wood. It is comfortable for families, couples, and those dining by themselves.

It is open for dinner everynight but Sunday, Lunch Monday - Friday, and Breakfast Saturday and Sunday. Many of the same things are on the Lunch and Dinner menu, but dinner has more entrees such as Filet Mignon. The menu ranges from that to salads, sandwiches, and pastas.

Everything is very fresh. The first visit we both had sandwiches with sweet potato fries (excellent!) and last night we had a chicken dish that was great, and two people had the meatloaf that they loved. Large portions. Also came with a choice of potato (2 mashed and 1 sweet potato fry in our group) and tasty sauteed vegetables. There was also a great basket of rolls. Prior to our entrees we had their homemade potato chips (still hot when we got them!) and a wonderful signature dip, and tortilla chips and avocado/crab dip.

There is a liquor license with a nice variety or wine by the glass (approx $ 6-8 per glass) or bottle. There is also a small bar (4-5 people) that some guests were quietly enjoying.

The staff is very nice, as is the owner, Carl. The service is friendly, efficient and casual.

This restaurant is less than a year old (December 2011), and we are hoping it will be around a long, long time! Next we plan on hitting it for Breakfast....more to come.
