The good: new location on Rte 9 much nicer than the previous Rte 30 site; lovely design and comfortable dining. We were seated immediately (although it was a slow day) and the waitstaff was very attentive.

The not so good: I believe the price for the buffet when up considerably (from $8 to $12); we would have been better off ordering from the luncheon specials which max at $7.50. Also, the buffet food quality seemed to suffer a bit. Maybe this was an off day.

Recommendation: go for the luncheon specials rather than the buffet if you are looking to economize a bit.

We've been going to the original location for years, 6-8 times a year. This was our (party of 6) first venture to the new location. We waited an unduly 40 minutes for our entrees; diners seated after us were served before us; we sat with dirty appetizer plates that were seemingly not going to be cleared before our entree was served; so we had to ask that they be taken away; ordered brown rice that never came, but was on the bill; woman came to replenish water glasses, filled one and went to another table to clear dishes. We waited and waited, again, and finally had to call for waiter to wrap leftovers; had to ask for our check. They were short staffed, yet were clearing tables quickly to seat more people. I did not see the owner that we've come to know over the years. The entire experience was horrible, and unfortunately, we will never go again.

I went there with a family a few weeks back at the location on Rt9. The food and service were decent, but they charge extra for Tea, white Rice, and soda refills. They told us up front about the tea, but not the rice and soda. They agreed to take the soda refills off the bill, but not the rice. I don't know of ANY restaurants the charge for soda refills or white rice. The food itself was decent Chinese food, but with excessive celery filler (it was a chicken dish). The PuPu platter (or Mandarin platter) was very small. The portions in general were small, compared to to other Chinese restaurants, and about 20% more expensive. So if look at the extra charges, the small portions, and the more expensive prices, it's not a good value.
