We stayed at the Doubletree because we were in Massachusetts for a reunion. The staff was very freindly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable. So comfortable, in fact that we took a nap and could have slept right through the reunion! The only thing I didn't really like was the bathroom - as other reviews have pointed out it was very small. The sink seemed like it was too big for the room. We ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel restaurant and both were very good. The cookies were a nice touch. I noticed that there was music outside the main entrance at night. I thought it was a bit loud. Maybe they could turn it down a bit. I would reccomend this hotel to a friend.

We stopped here on our way north since it's convenient to 495, and we chose this hotel since we got a great rate on Hotwire. I am a Hilton Honors member, but since we booked through a third party we didn't get any of the usual perks. No problem with that since we knew that going in, but wifi was $10/day for each device--we thought all of them would be covered with the one rate. Kind of a pain. My husband ended up using his laptop in the lobby, where wifi is free. We had a long drive and were looking forward to using the indoor pool when we arrived at 9:30, but it was closed for maintenance. We asked if we could at least use the hot tub, and we were given special permission to do that. Management should follow the posted hours (pool was supposed to be open until 10 PM). The desk staff were very courteous. Rooms were large and beds were comfortable. The AC was noisy and kept going on and off through the night-luckily I used earplugs, but my husband didn't and woke up a lot. Bathroom was small. Breakfast was not included and we thought it was pretty pricey, so we ended up eating elsewhere. If we are in the area again, I would probably choose to go to the Hampton Inn in Marlborough. The Hampton includes free wifi (for every device!) and breakfast, and the rooms are just as nice, so the money we saved through the Hotwire rate at the Doubletree was spent on internet and breakfast, making it a wash.

During a business visit to the area, we were put up in the Doubletree Westborough. Doubletree, being a Hilton property, is known as being a nice hotel. This Doubletree, while not bad, just wasn't quite as fancy as some others I've stayed in previously. A little on the runned-down side (and I've stayed in a lot of Hilton hotels), we felt it could use some sprucing up.

The area of Westborough seemed to be pretty rural, and there is no restaurants that we could see within walking distance. The Doubletree though, does great on providing a nice restaurant with good food. In fact, the food was VERY good! The breakfast buffet provided everything from your usual eggs, sausage and hashbrowns to oatmeal, fruit, and even lox, bagels and cream cheese! You can even have your own omelet made to order! The restaurant for lunch and dinner provides you a varying menu for reasonable prices.

Business may bring us back to this location - and we would stay again. Just be aware that you're a good 45 minutes from Boston itself. (Our business had us in Westborough, but we did require a trip into Boston as well.) A rental car would be the most economical so that you're not depending on shuttles as we did. If you need a good shuttle, from Boston/Logan airport, we recommend Knight's Limousine/Van service.

Not sure how it happened, maybe because we were part of 3 hockey teams from the same organization staying there, but we only paid $109 a night and were given complimentary breakfasts. The breakfast buffet truly was spectacular with an omelet station, lots of cut up fresh fruit, smoked salmon, and all of the other usual breakfast items.

The rooms were spacious with comfortable beds although the bathrooms were incredibly tiny. The curtains were weirdly positioned over the vent so that they blocked all air flow at night unless you used something like a hockey skate to hold it back. Because the Doubletree is a full service hotel which included a bar, the internet unfortunately was only free in the lobby.

Although very nice at our price, I'm not sure if it's luxurious enough for the higher prices that others have paid.

Albgardis' Hubby is writing:

Doubletree Westborough seemed crisp and elegant. The room was kind of big, the bed was comfortable to sleep in. The AC turned on and off in the middle of the night and was a bit noisy.

The bath room (tub & shower combination) was much smaller than expected, there was no make up / shaving mirror (just the regular mirror at the wall over the sink), and the lighting wasn't bright.

The sink was on table with legs, looked elegant and stylish, and the table surface was of black marble. The furniture in the bedroom had also black marble surfaces, for example opposite of the king sized bed there was a flat screen TV sitting on black marble. Beneath were drawers for clothing and other items you might want to store away. Additional storage was offered by the closet.

The toilet tank lid was broken in half and had been glued back together, that looked odd.

Breakfast was NOT FREE, we paid $ 32 for 2 people, and while it was a nice buffet style with all possible options, many hot food choices (scrambled eggs, seasoned home fries, bacon and sausage and more that I don't remember anymore), it was not worth the price.

There was a waffle maker and a toaster (seems standard today in this hotel category), bananas and apples, yogurt, bagels, rolls, muffins and a juice bar. There was also a person making omelets to order.

Coffee (various options) was brought in carafes by personnel, it was not on the buffet for self serve.

I liked this breakfast, but it was only diner food, definitely not worth this price. They also offered to bring breakfast up to the room for ADDITIONAL $ 9. Wow...

The room price was $ 169 plus taxes, and I have recently stayed in a historic Grand Hotel with the wife for a lot less. There was nothing really standing out in this place, nothing really impressive or memorable, just the high prices are standing out oddly.

My only complaint is that they charge $10 a day to access the internet in your room. No excuse for that. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Coffee maker in the room was a key amenity, and it was possible to run it for just hot water which makes it usable for non coffee drinkers. Would be nice if there were a make up mirror in the bathroom, and bathroom lighting was inadequate for me, but this is a minor matter.
Very friendly front desk staff, headphones supplied in the fitness room, adequate equipment, clean and functional.
Nice cookies at check in!
