“Something for everyone”
Reviewed January 6, 2009

Great casual place to get all kinds of different food. Captain Parker's has something for everyone, food is excellent and so is service. There can be a long wait, in the summer months on the weekends but you can grab a beer by the bar while you wait. Also very accommodating to larger parties and families.

“Go for the chowder - skip the rest”
Reviewed November 26, 2008

We finally made it back to CP's after 12 years. The chowder is still good but the fish & chips were awful. I don't think I will miss this place anymore.

“Great Seafood, Good service, Grand pub!”
Reviewed November 5, 2008

The last night of our autumn adventure, the six of us wanted to have a "real lobster dinnah". Upon a recommendation from the folks at the Cove resort we tried to make reservations at Captain Parkers. Reservations are not accepted. It was a Sat. nite so we got there by six. It was already packed but we had drinks in the pub bar. There is a wall of patches from law enforcement agencies from everywhere imaginable. It's a cool & comfortable
place to wait.

It wasn't long before we were seated. The casual dinning room is open and a bit noisey but friendly with a nice view of the river. This place was "hopping" busy but the staff was attentive and responsive. It was warm so one of us opened the window and all the servers passing by said thanks.

Four of us had the two 11/4 lbs lobster dinner with all the trimmings $27.00. One had the mussels and another the broiled seafood dinner. I was born and raised in Massachusettes so I consider myself a pretty good judge of quality seafood. When the lobsters came to the table, oue eyes bugged out. We thought we would not be able to eat all the lobster in these two shelled creatures. Wrong! This was so fresh that it fell out of the shell. It was fun not work .The meat was sweet and savory. The clam chowder here has won numerous awards. One spoonful and the reason is obvious. Full of clams, creamy and delicious. The person eating the mussels loved them but had so many on the plate that she could not finish them. The guy eating the broiled seafood dinner almost licked his plate. The staff was terrific in picking up the bowls of empty shells during dinner.

A wonderful end to an awesome Autumn Adventure!

“Best Chowder I Have Had Anywhere...”
Reviewed October 19, 2008

Had their chowder and have to say it was the best I have had anywhere (and we are local to New England so we have had quite a few). Thick, rich and creamy (not salty at all as some other reviewers noted). We both had the fish and chips platter and the fish was incredibly fresh and flaky. What I liked was that the fish and chips were not greasy at all, as happens so often when you order fish and chips at other restaurants. Staff was courteous and service was good. Excellent brew selection too. Would definitely go back.
