I have been to Capt'n Parker's a handful of times. Always sat at the bar for dinner, bartenders were never overly friendly but food was good and reasonably priced, especially the early bird specials. My wife and I went for an early dinner on a Saturday evening and were seated in the dining room. Prime rib was nicely done, baked potato was overcooked and mixed veggies were so-so. But the kicker is, when we got our bill and checked it we discovered that we were being charged for the more expensive menu for after early bird time and we were seated clearly long before the posted 5:30 end of early bird time. We were also charged for a drink that was never ordered. When we brought this to the attention of our waitress she said she was sorry about that with what we saw as a very insincere attitude and tone. We would have been happy to accept any reasonable apology, but none was forthcoming. So watch your tab when eating here, or better yet, try someplace else-we will. By the way, the clam chowder is a thick misrepresentation of the real thing.
