“Great Stay for a Family!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 12, 2013

We stayed at this resort for Labor Day Weekend. We had a great time the roomsa are nice and clean. We loved hanging out at the beach by the lake our children played with the sand and the indoor pool is very nice size. The weekend was a little chilly that is why we never really went to the outdoor pool, however we saw other people having fun in there. The camp fire at night is very nice my children enjoed it very much just make sure to bring the marshmellows and the sticks with you if you are planking on doing this otherwise they charge you for it at the front desk. Breakfast is very nice even though it's a continental they also give you boiled eggs we felt that it was very good!!

Room Tip: If you are at Cape Cod for the first time you should deffinately try Whale watching it's a prett...

My wife and I have been to The Bayside Resort Hotel eight times after picking it out from the description in the AAA guide book in September 2006. That includes two New Year's Eve parties at the Yarmouth House, one dinner train excursion on the Cape Cod Central Railroad, and three Labor Day specials. Every time we have been extremely pleased with the hotel, its staff, the location, the cleanliness, and the overall ambiance. It also became a small part of the setting for my latest novel, "The Bayside Murders," although nobody in the book gets murdered there. Oh, and we love sitting by the outside fire (in season, of course) and meeting interesting people from all over the world. We would highly recommend The Bayside to anybody looking for a high-quality, centrally located place to vacation on beautiful, magical Cape Cod.

Room Tip: The rooms in the very back face the bay and have the best view. There are no elevators, but first f...

Our stay at Bayside Resort was very nice. The room was clean, and it was very close to both the indoor and outdoor pools. Bayside also is very conveniently located with respect to other points of interest at the Cape. We plan to come back in the future. Woodstock, NY

Room Tip: If you like swimming laps in a good-size indoor pool, the pool is usually open till 11 PM.

I stayed here while visiting my sister for Labor Day weekend. I stayed alone, but this is a very nice place for families, with things for the kids to do.

The room was nice, comfortable, and clean. I didn't eat breakfast, but it looked nice, and the coffee was good.

I visited the pub, and Mariusz is a fantastic bartender, and the other guests were fun, too.

If you're planning a romantic weekend, you might want to look elsewhere, but if you're looking for a place to bring your family, the Bayside resort is great.

We enjoyed our recent stay at the Bayside Resort. This was our second time there. The room was very nice with queen beds, fridge, nice t.v., nice bathroom area, free WIFI. Would have liked a heat lamp in the bathroom but that's okay. The room has its own heater/AC so you can adjust it easily. There's a great indoor pool and whirlpool. We didn't have a chance to go to the outdoor pool because of the weather, but there is one. We did enjoy the bonfire, so don't forget to bring the marshmallows. There's a great game room, with a pool table, game machines and air hockey.

If you want a place by the beach, you will pay a lot more. If you had stayed at the beach this weekend, it would've been a waste of money because it rained the entire time. Get to know the public beaches and you'll be saving a lot of money on your motel/hotel.

I will say this -- my daughter stayed in another room with two double beds. It was very small. Beware of this -- only book those rooms if it's for one person or two at the most, or for your adult child. It's small and it felt claustrophobic.

Generally a very good place to stay at the Cape. Most of the Cape motels/hotels don't offer half of what is offered here. Breakfast room included -- more than a continental breakfast, less than a sit-down breakfast. It does the job for a snack before you get something else, in my opinion.

Room Tip: Don't pick the rooms with double beds unless you like small or it's for 1 person because the...

Not really sure how this hotel is considered a “resort”. It is definitely not resort-like. It is a basic type hotel, definitely nothing fancy about it. It is definitely in need of some updating. We stayed for 3 nights over Labor Day Weekend. The rooms are decent and clean, although housekeeping doesn’t seem to do much other than make the beds and give you clean towels. They definitely don’t clean the bathrooms or tub during your stay, nor do the sheets get changed. When we first got to the room, we found a few M&M’s on the floor…gross!
The hotel is in a fairly good location, close and convenient to basically everything. While there isn’t much to do in W. Yarmouth itself, within minutes, you can get to anywhere on the Cape. The breakfast, which was included, got really busy, but that is to be expected during a holiday weekend. It was really good though and had a decent selection. The beds are definitely not too comfortable. Every morning we woke up with sore backs and shoulders. The pictures on their website clearly were taken many moons ago, when the rooms were in great condition – they are definitely dreary and in need of updating.
Although the pictures may make it seem like it is on a beach, it definitely isn’t. There is some sand in the back with a great fire pit that we hung out at and roasted some marshmallows. It is actually on the bay, looks like a marsh so the pictures can be a bit deceiving.
The pools are really good – loved the indoor pool and the fact that it is open until 10 pm with kids and then until 11 for adults only. The hotel is really kid friendly and there are lots of activities around. The game room is nice – however, the games take your money. We went to the front desk to let them know some of the games were not working, but taking the money and they advised us that the machines are looked at quite often. Well, that’s great and all, but maybe they should put signs on the games that are not working, when they are advised by guests of that fact. We were by the game room again the night we advised them that the games were not working and we heard other guests complaining that they lost money in the games. They really should do something about that, especially since they were made aware of it so that guests don’t keep losing money in the games. While it isn’t a lot of money, that isn’t the point.
If you are looking for a place with not may kids or looking for a peaceful and relaxing stay, this is definitely not the place for you. Also, if you are truly looking for a resort stay, definitely keep on looking. Don’t think we’ll be back to this “resort”!
