Great hotel...clean, affordable and very accomodating. We go there with extended family a few times a year and it is always a very pleasant experience.

We have stayed at many hotels at the Cape and none of them can beat the Cape Point. We have gone in season and off season and we can't empahsize enough how happy we are there. The rooms, pool area, lobby, lounge and restaurant are sparkly clean; the entire staff make you feel at home (especially Mary!); the location is perfect. It is really a great place to meet family and friends. We highly recommend it.

This was a nice place to stay for a long weekend on the Cape, and we couldn't beat the price for the value we got. We had an eight year old and a one year old with us, and they enjoyed visiting the fish in the lower level, and playing in the pool area. The breakfast place on premises served up a decent breakfast at an acceptable price (with a very small kitchen). The desk staff was friendly and helpful.

Truth from prior reviews on this site: the rooms are comfortable, but need some attention (peeling wallpaper, but no funny smells as reported elsewhere); and you need to put the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door before 9 am if you want to sleep in (the housekeeping staff does start early). On the housekeeping staff -- we left comment at the hotel about some deficiencies in this area (minimal straightening up, failed to replace shampoo packets). Still in all, we would go back.

My wife and I stayed one night at this hotel. My only complaint was the lack of hotel property knowledge from the front desk staff.

very nice hotel with two large pools.Indoor one is enormous 84 degrees, with hot tub and sauna. Outdoor one is huge also and in the summer has a snack bar and drinks
there is a very nice restaurant that does breakfast from 7-11a.m. It is not far from the beach.
It gets very booked as coaches are there daily.we stayed there for 9days.

We have stayed here many times and our experiences vary. I have found that off season is the best time to go. Plus the prices are better. The rooms are clean and comfortable, well maintained, and above average overall. The indoor pool is kept at a perfect temperature and is usually pretty clean. The restaurant is great and the service magnificent. They keep your coffee cup filled without asking! The hotel staff is pleasant.

We have had some bad experiences when the place is busy, so we do not go during those times anymore. New Years eve was a nightmare with drunk adults and rowdy kids blowing noisemakers in the pool area and up and down the halls all night. It was so loud that it became unsafe for those in the pool. You literally could not hear the person next to you over the yelling and noisemakers. This went on for some time until I finally went to the front desk. I don't know how they were not aware since the pool is on the opposite side of the lobby. But they did tame it down to a tolerable level.

Once there was some kind of sporting event (soccer?) and teams of tweens were running the halls, slamming doors and seemed to be unsupervised. They brought friends, teams of them, from other hotels into the pool and it got very dirty. I got an infection on my foot.

Our last visit was on Labor Day Weekend, and people were out in the yard beneath our room talking and yelling well past midnight. When I went to the front desk, the response was "Well, it's a holiday weekend". I do think it reasonable to expect to sleep between midnight and 7am no matter what day it is. If you have special holiday parties, keep it confined to areas away from the guest rooms.

So my advice is that this is a really great place to stay with your family off season only. Don't bother otherwise unless you enjoy chaos.

A few friends and I just stayed at the Cape Point Hotel and were extremely pleased with it. We booked very late in the season so we weren't expecting much of a room but it was great! It was located in a great area and close to many things. It was quiet in the morning and night so it was very easy to sleep. There were many things to do so close to the hotel. It is located right next to Hyannis so there are tons of things to see and do.

The hotel service was great. When checking in the woman we had was wonderful. She gave us all the imformation we needed for our stay. They offer great suggestions for beaches and tours. Also at check in you receive a card that gets you $3.00 off each adult dinner at selected resturants. Pool areas were great and food was pretty good. Hotel was quiet at night. Not once did we hear any of the other guests at the hotel. Beds were comfortable. Each standard room has 2 queen size beds which sleeps two comfortably. Probably the most comfortable hotel beds that I have ever slept on. Our one suggestion is to put your DO NOT DISTURB sign out the night before if you don't want housekeeping to come in and clean. They start making their rounds at 9am and will be knocking on your door. Other than that I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. We will be staying there again when we go back next year.
