Description: The Lambert's Cove Inn & Restaurant is known as one of the most romantic retreats on Martha's Vineyard. Situated on 7 acres of spacious lawns, gardens, forest and meadowlands in the pastoral town of West Tisbury, it offers tranquility and seclusion. The Restaurant offers one of the best dining experiences on the island. Enjoy the ambiance of our elegant dining room with it's beautiful fireplaces and 100 year old grand piano featuring live entertainment in season. Our dinner menu rotates, featuring fresh island seafood, veal, beef, poultry, in-season vegetables from local gardens and farms, homemade soups, breads and delicious desserts. The Restaurant is not appropriate for children under the age of 8 (with the exception of Mother’s Day and Easter brunches). Note: The restaurant is no longer BYOB!

Mussels with Chardonnay, chorizo, and garlic were rich, flavorful, and outstanding. Our server even brought extra bread to soak up all the wonderful broth. Service was attentive and respected our request to spend a long time for our dinner, though water service was a bit too slow. We also enjoyed the tenderloin with morels and a Brie and short ribs crepe topped with quail egg. Go early for most privacy and to enjoy overlooking the pool with small waterfall.

We have frequented Lambert's Cove many times, but as expected in the peak seasons. However, our recent trip to MV landed us in the middle of winter to this wonderful surprise of one of our favorite island restaurants offering an incredible deal- three courses for thirty dollars. Not only were there many delectable choices- we had the opportunity to alter our selection with doubling appetizer choices and forego the very appealing dessert choices. We opted for the double appetizers and were not disappointed at all. The sea bisque was a light creamy flavorful non-sherry bisque with three lightly fried mussels that added both flavor and texture to this dish. We of course had to partake on the fresh raw oysters that were accompanied by two wonderful flavorful dipping sauces- one minuette and one creamy horseradish. In between our second appetizer and our entree , we did get to experience a small portion of that passed on dessert with a refreshing and welcomed palate cleansing portion of prosecco sorbet. Our main dish was a surf and turf- succulent carmelized sea scallops and short rib ravioli accompanied by a delicious carrot puree, all wonderful and in the perfect portion size. We must say we initially were disappointed that the restaurant was no longer BYOB, however, although small, the wine list was diverse in both varietals and price. We certainly thoroughly enjoyed our Napa Cabernet for $45. Our service was attentive and perfectly paced. We truly enjoyed every minute of this surprise!
