“Perfect Ending”
Reviewed May 17, 2014

We reserved the back dinner room at Rouge for a group of 11. I called and left a message regarding my food allergies and they called back within ten minutes to give me assurance they could accommodate my allergies. Cocktails, food and service were excellent. It was the perfect ending for our week long writer's retreat.

“So good, So cool....,So Foodie!!!”
Reviewed April 21, 2014

OK...,You walk in and there is already something to be said....,"This is different"?!?
Decor is eclectic retro with some odds and sods thrown in. Color pattern(s) are unusual in a good way. The staff is friendly and courteous. I would have to say this is our favorite Berkshire Restaurant.
The menu is amazing...,without being overbearing. Last time were in we had the Grilled Striped Bass (moist and delicious) with sauteed mixed vege's (cooked perfect), jasmine rice with a roasted beet salad covered in lemon vinagrette and truffle oil. Anyway, if I didn't describe that right, it doesn't matter. We have never had a meal there that wasn't 4 to 5 stars!
Yes, it is just that good. One of the best in the area without question. Rouge just gets it right when it comes to fantastic cuisine. C & C - Valatie, NY

“Third Time and Still Superb”
Reviewed April 14, 2014 via mobile

Joined our good friends for a great evening of dining at Rouge. We expected a lot as we have dined before and we're not disappointed

We tend to group dine so I was not able to order all I wanted as I am overly daring. That said the escargot and calimari apps were superb. As was the salad with blue cheese

Drinks tend to be strong so if u like your date toasted on 2 Manhattans you are in heaven

We shared the steak and duck entrees which were superb. No room for dessert

Only complaint is they make clear items arrive slowly from the kitchen once things get busy so order everything right away. Not our style and telling waitress once we didn't mind should have been enough.

No biggie. Be back again think I recognize the owners working, and felt the love and energy

“Both heartening and exciting!”
Reviewed March 22, 2014

Rouge is a step above the rest in the area. The atmosphere is exciting with red and yellow vibrancy and cozy music flowing from its walls. Quality and price finally make sense!

The staff is laid back and almost huggable. It may happen! I highly recommend the duck spring rolls, green beans with almonds and the Ny strip on the tapas menu. Also try oysters on a half shell with some champagne.

My boyfriend is not one for fancy treats so he gets possibly the "best burger he has ever had".
The drinks are expensive but strong. Jeremy can mix any cocktail to your taste.
The owners love the restaurant and the people that enjoy life!

Just have some patience on busy nights - the waiters are in every part of the old building moving as fast as they can!
