We stopped at this hotel as a halfway spot and choose it because we found a coupon in one of those magazines you get on the Thruway. The hotel was recently renovated and it is lovely. Our room was so nice it really was lovely.

We stayed at this hotel with friends for a weekend trip to attend an event at the Eastern States Exposition. We chose it for its location and were very happy with that. The hotel itself is located in the middle of shops and restaurants, all within walking distance which we prefer. We were happy with our rooms, king bed suites with a couch, minifrig, microwave and wireless internet. The room was on the small side, but perfect for our purpose. We were impressed with how little sound we heard from the hall and other rooms, especially with a sports team staying on the same floor. The complimentary breakfast was the usual Hampton fare and we still hope they will implement more whole grains into the muffins and other bread type offerings in the future. We especially enjoyed drinking coffee in the couch/chair seating area by the gas fireplace on Saturday morning in the sunroom.

This was a five college parents' weekend, and we thought there were no rooms at the Hampton Inn. OMG, first we went to the "Clarion Inn", but I need to tell you not only was that dated, weird, in fact spooky--the name Clarion was no where to be found on it! Some business cards and a flag, but NO WHERE else, not on the wall, in the carpet, not anywhere. I think they lost their franchise. Then we went to the Candlewood, OMG the awful smell--my throat closed up, my eyes swelled shut--and the place looked like a prison--thank god we called the Hampton Inn even tho we were told weeks ago they were filled. Yay! a room! Reliable, clean, good chow, nice people, fabulous. I don't know what's up with w springfield, but the other hotels were sure awful. Hampton was great!!!

We travel to W. Springfield often and have stayed at the Super 8 and Red Roof Inn. This stay has been our best by far, where do I start. We stayed in a king room with sleep sofa. Room was clean and best of all, plenty of towels were supplied and all were soft :) Room was equipped with a full size adjustable height ironing board, iron, coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave, high speed internet (cable provided in room if needed) and cable TV with HBO. Doors around building require room key access at all hours, except main entrance and security cameras are located in the hallways. Rooms are furnished with modern furniture and artwork. Plenty of mirrors. Bathroom was clean, round shower curtain rod, adjustable shower head and toiletries provided included mouthwash, soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, liquid shower soap, shower cap and shoe mitt, also included personal care kit with q-tips and small emery board. "Real" tissues and toilet paper. Breakfast included, eggs patty, sausage patty, english muffins, bagels, Otis Spunkmeyer muffins, plenty of cereal to choose from, mixed fruit, toast, biscuits and plenty of seating. Bed and pillows were good. Left tip for housekeeping and was left a Thank You note. Trying to keep it short, could say many more good things, the women who checked us in was great. Will stay here again.

We stayed 3 nights at the Hampton Inn in West Springfield to attend a convention in Amherst, MA at the University. The hotel was full but the following showed the quality of the property.
1) Check in fast, efficient and friendly
2) Room clean, spacious, updated and quiet
3) Breakfast buffet (complimentary) well stocked, good variety, clean, and plenty of seating
4) Free parking, easy access
5) right next to the best wine super market in the area a must see!!
6) Extras: fridge & micro in each room + iron & hairdryer: While it is not listed on their site the breakfast buffet seemed to have a casserole dish in the evenings, complimentary, available to take back to the room or eat in the lobby area each night. Coffee/tea. fresh baked cookies on hand as well. In a pinch it works! A grocery store is right next door and be sure to check out the Table & Vine mega wine/liquor mart next door with tons of cheeses, snacks etc.
7) Last, but not least, free Wi-Fi worked in our room!!!
I've stayed in plenty of dumps on Riverdale and Hampton Inn is the best hotel you can get. For a few extra bucks don't bother with the filthy places across the street.............plus check the hotel guide for restaurants, some offer discounts if you present your room key.

Up to Hampton standards and very roomy. I had a king bed with refrig, microwave, coffee maker , small sofa . TV and clothes area.
Large breakfast room with nice choices. My only complaint was the water saving shower - a little more water please!
